I have been tasked with finding a tailor in or very near to Tribeca in New York City. They ideally are open at 7:00am or open until 7:00pm. And this tailor can take in the waist of a pair of pants without making one of the rear pockets off center to the seam. Chinatown is fine as long as it's west of the Canal street 456/NQR station. Other Manhattan neighborhoods considered if the work is really spectacular and inexpensive. [more inside]
I keep looking online, but it is hard to tell which trousers are actually the lightest weight and coolest. If you have some that you actually wear and help you make the best of surviving an urban summer commute, please tell me. [more inside]
How do I build an age-appropriate business-y end of business casual wardrobe as a very pear-shaped, early 30s lady? [more inside]
I saw these pants on the street: tailored, narrow-leg, bright blue, silk-looking, with a slit from knee to ankle and a tie at the ankle. I must have them, but I cannot find them. Can you? [more inside]
Pants, I need loose jean-like pants with pockets that are both lightweight and super-durable for working on a construction job in humid hot Georgia. The cloth needs to breathe; it also needs to be strong enough to protect me when I'm crawling around under a house or carrying nasty nail-full old wood to the dumpster. Flexible. Is there such a thing? Or is there cloth that I can buy and make me such a pair of pants? In men's or women's sizes. Please do not suggest any wool as I am allergic to it.
This has been asked before, but the responses to that inquiry seem a little dated, so I will ask again: what are some good brands for wool pants for men? [more inside]
Please recommend me either a) a brand of pants that will not rip in the crotch after less than a year, or b) a recommendation for pants care such that I can prevent this from happening. [more inside]
I'm a guy whose waist is in the 46" range and I've found that most hiking pants that people have suggested in other posts don't go up that large. Just wondering if anyone can recommend some pants that would work well for hiking that are available in larger sizes. I'm in Ontario, Canada, so I'd prefer something that was available in Canada.
Where are the affordable, well-fitting, durable pants for men with great, non-cargo utility pockets? (details below) [more inside]
I'm a 29 year old female and *very* petite. I need to find a pair of pants that won't make me look like stick straight. [more inside]
I just got a pair of pants back from the dry cleaner, and they still, uh, smell. Is there anything I can do? [more inside]
I've finally worn out my beloved Levis 580 bootcut jeans, only to find out that in the last few years they've started making them with that super-thin stretchy fabric that I hesitate to call "denim." I'd already abandoned most plus-size jeans for that reason. Is anyone still making a heavier jean with a little stretch? [more inside]
I am a mid-30s lady, and I have recently realized that jeans are not comfortable and I don't want to wear them anymore, but I'm not sure what to replace them with. Help me figure out where to shop and what to shop for! [more inside]
In today's era of chaotic jeans trends, exactly what styles and colors of jeans does a mid-30s US woman wear if she wishes to appear polished, classy, but also not desperately un-hip... ideally, for like the next 2-3 years? [more inside]
My first generation pair of Outlier's Women's Daily Riding Pants are on their last legs. They were pretty close to the perfect pant for me; stretchy, a decent material resistant to staining, good for biking/travel/camping/hiking with clean-enough lines that I could wear them out to dinner with a nice shirt. They've discontinued their women's line so now I'm back to the drawing board. Please help! [more inside]
I have a pair of Calvin Klein suit pants that have a patch that's gone fuzzy on one hip/outer thigh. I think the velcro closure on my bag rubbed against it during a commute. It's not pilled, like a sweater, but fuzzy. Looking around, I have seen recommendations for how to deal with sweater pilling but not fuzzy pants. Are sweater de-pillers OK for this problem? Lint brush and sticky tape did nothing. Pants are a poly blend. Thanks in advance for any tips!

I'm a slim 40-year old guy in Brooklyn and cannot find pants that fit me and are age-appropriate. Help? [more inside]
So, I found these super bright red cargo-ish pants on sale for $20. They are AWESOME. Super comfortable, great for everything from gardening to dance practice. If I could get them in other colors, that would make my day! Help me source pants? [more inside]
OK, I've had it with being that guy in old baggy-ass faded jeans. What kind of jeans should an average-sized guy wear that's age appropriate (40) but not too "dad." Is the Gap still the place? Help!
So whenever I wear jeans, the zipper is always falling down. It does not seem to matter what the jeans are - new, old, too tight, too loose, just right. I know you ostensibly place the tab down to lock it, but this does not help - it just slows it a bit. Hence it's probably something I am doing wrong, or an incorrect fit that I keep buying. What might it be?

My comfort-loving preschooler (boy) only likes to wear sweatpants and leggings. I am of the opinion that sweatpants should never be worn in public, and most leggings are probably not warm enough for winter. Can you help me find comfy, warm pants that also look good? [more inside]
Hey folks I'm a reasonably fit male, 5'10" with a 32-34" waist and enormous thighs. Finding good pants is always problematic - typically they get around my trunks and are completely loose around my waist. I've had the best luck with Lucky brand jeans, but there must be more pant options out there. I try to dress casual chic - any tips, tricks or brand recommendations would be appreciated.
I want something to protect my pants from bike grease. Holding the pant tight with a conventional pant-holding-device is not sufficient, I still get chain grease all over my right calf. [more inside]

I just purchased a bunch of new clothing at Theory, which is definitely a much hipper store than I'm used to shopping at. (My old standby was Banana Republic.) The sales staff was very helpful, and I'm very pleased with what I came home with, but I'd love some help in mixing and matching everything. Photos of (almost) all of the items I bought can be found here. [more inside]

Where do I find more of these perfect pants? Felt like pajamas, but acceptable to wear in public and to work?? AMAZING. [more inside]
Whenever I shop for pants or shorts, almost everything I try on either has a tight waist and comfortable butt, or tight butt and too-loose waist. This applies across various brands. I like to say that I'm little in the middle but I got much back, but my proportions aren't that strange. Skinny jeans don't fit me, but I'm not going for pleated dockers, either. I wear approximately a 30" waist and 28" inseam. Guys, can you recommend any brands that solve this problem?
I need to find comfortable flat front women's pants in dark green for work. +1 if they are high quality and wrinkle free, +2 if they come in petite sizes! Does this unicorn exist? Boys uniform pants fit me but all are scratchy or poor quality.
I have lost ALOT of weight, and am on track to keep it off. I have a wife who has admitted she really enjoys vintage pics of guys in pants that showcase "the bulge", and she believes I now qualify. I have the butt and legs on my new "skinny pants" appropriately snug for her taste, but the fronts are disappointingly vague. Is this something I have to hunt down vintage jeans for, or ask a tailor for? Or is my endomorph body type, no matter how lean, cursed for flattened-fly jeans?
I'm a rookie member of the Providence Grays, a vintage baseball team. This season, we are having a difficult time finding a source of wool that we can use for our baseball trousers. Can anyone help me find a source? [more inside]
