Long leg undies to wear under yoga pants?

I cannot bear to go commando in yoga pants, but my normal bikini briefs cause pretty bad panty lines. I think what I want is something like Spanx, but with the following qualities: 1) absolutely no "control" whatsoever, 2) cotton crotch, 3) legs don't ride up and preferably have the little gripper strips like some skorts, and 4) come in XS. I don't want boy shorts--those are too short and tend to ride up on me. I want something more like men's long boxers, but in a super thin fabric. Any recommendations?

My boyfriend carry other woman's panties, am I overreacting?

On 3 different occasions, during a year and a half, I found in my boyfriend's stuff other women's panties. I was so in shock. I is like surreal to me. I am wondering if this is a sufficient reason to leave someone? I've been with my boyfriend for 7 years now and we've been living together for 6 years. We're in our early 30s. We have no child, no mortgage, only an apartment.

At the beginning of 2011, I saw a pair of panties (100% not mine) in my boyfriend's closet. I did not snoop, it was in the middle of the place. I asked, he said that it was old. I said ok...

Somewhere in fall 2011, I was speaking with my boyfriend in our apartment. He had his laptop bag with the front pocket open when I noticed that a pair of panties was hanging from the pocket. The panties were 100% not mine and not his size so he's not a cross-dresser. Just regular panties, not fancy, used, not new. I asked what it was, he said he found them in the backyard (we like in a multiple-apartment building) and he said I thought they were yours. So I asked if so, why didn't you give them to me? He said I was about to, I put them in my bag.
He looked nervous, had big eyes, not clinging his eyes anymore during the conversation. I said ok and I left the room. I was sure he would get rid of the panties as soon as he could since I confirmed to him they were not mine.

In December 2012, I decided to wash the sheets and blankets while he was at work. When I took the sheets to put them in the washing machine, I didn’t notice anything. When I was unloading the washing machine, I was in shock; the same panties were in our washing machine, more than 1 year after. They sure were in the pillowcase since I didn’t see them when loading the washing machine.
When he came back from work, I told him while showing the panties “ I told you those are not mine, why are those panties in our washing machine”? He said that the weekend before, he did clean his laptop bag, found the panties and decided to put them in his pillowcase since he was at his family cottage with his dad. He brought his pillow there. I said why didn’t you put them in garbage and how come you kept them for over a year? He said he has never cleaned his bag since and that he didn’t want to put the panties in the garbage so that his dad would find them. By the way, in his pillowcase, there were those panties + 2 that were mine. Also, he uses his laptop bag almost everyday. I said ok and tried to forget this again.

Really, I try to believe him but my gut feeling tells me something is wrong there. No sorry, my gut feeling is screaming to me to leave.

By the way, we’re not that happy together either. No communication, we don't do a lot of activities together and he doesn't seem happy. He goes out with friends on Thursday nights and doesn't want me to go with him. I don't have access to his computer, cell phone, etc.

Since December, I can't help but think about this. Would you leave your boyfriend “just” for a pair of panties? I am about to leave him, just wondering if I am overreacting, if the panties is a reasonable cause? What do you think? The worst thing is that I did not snoop to find them.

I have to figure it out soon because we have to renew (or not) the lease before the end of the month. Time is running.

By the way, I tried to leave him in summer 2011 for other reasons but he started crying and begging me to give it a second chance, which I did.

Wide Ribbed 100% Cotton Underwear that Stretched to the Moon

The underwear that got away 10 years ago is still keeping me up at night. (Melodrama) Once upon a long time ago, I owned the most special underwear I've ever known (how they came into my life, I do not know).

They were so stretchy, if you pulled the waistband apart you could nearly double the length, as they were ribbed--and not 1x1 or "baby ribbed" (a la American Apparel). I don't know much about ribbing, but each rib was at least 1/4th an inch wide, yet the material was thin, unlike other ribbed things I know of (sweaters). They'd probably originally had a tag indicating brand/care, but I'd have cut that out immediately--there only remained a tiny tag that read 100% cotton, which I always looked at in amazement (no spandex!?). In color they were a light, heathered-grey, but I'd take any color, indeed. *wipes tear*

They were the very first pair I wore when I laundered all my clothes, and often I put them on directly out of the dryer--I couldn't wait!, plus--warm clothes, you know. I happily wore them for years, until way past their due, when they had to be thrown away for the sake of decency, humanity and the love of God, and I told myself--someday--I'd find their kind again. 10 years later, I simply cannot sleep. I can hunt down online strange hard-to-find Korean noodle products that my friends insist no longer exist anywhere, but no underwear to match these has ever again come into my life.

If it means quitting my job for a full-time search, I must find them again, somehow. But perhaps, my friends, you can help me keep my job, perhaps you can help make my life complete, because, for the most part, I HATE UNDERWEAR.

Thank you.

Garters N' Things

I like reading blogs containing tips and general info on wearing petticoats, garters, different kinds of slips, tights, of course bra styles, and other such articles of clothing. Help me find them? The few blog posts I've read about this stuff make me actually interested in putting effort into wearing girly things. And I feel more...connected? with my womanhood in general.
Anyway, I'm looking for blog posts and articles about these things. How to wear them, what to wear them with, the health of wearing certain fabrics, experiences wearing some of these.....everything.

Can you help me out?

Please choose my panties....

What are the most amazing underthings you have worn or your lady has worn? Help me choose lingerie that will make me look and feel fabulous! Let me start by saying - I am comfortable with my body and my looks. I have gotten very adept over the years at dressing my body to show off my assets and hide my less-perfect areas. I am generally confident and am happy in my own skin.

That being said, I would like to update my intimate apparel wardrobe, and I don't have a clue where to start. My main goal is to buy some nice bra/panty sets that are functional and comfortable. However, I'd also like things that I look good in when the situation ever arises for me to be prancing around in my underthings. I don't have a clue what kinds of cuts/colors will look best on me.

About me - I'm of average weight and fitness, about 5'7, 150 lbs. Most of my weight sits in my lower body a la Kim Kardashian, though I'm not nearly as toned as she is. I'm also ghostly white. Like, blinding white. My belly is less than toned but not awful, and my butt is quite...substantial? Also I am blessed with some rather large saddle bags. My legs are on the short side but shapely and toned. I wear a 36 C/D bra.

So ladies (or men), what things should I look for that will make a pale pear-shaped lady look amazing when I'm half-naked? Thongs, boyshorts, bikinis....I'm at a loss where to start. Would black make me look more pale, or would white make me look more tan? Do boyshorts make women look more 'hippy' (as in big hips, not flower childish)? Are padded push-up bras sexy or just false advertising?

I want to feel like a vixen, whether fully clothed or in a state of undress. Tips? Advice?

Bottoming out?

Underwear filter: Interested in switching to thong style panties and looking for some advice. My major goal is eliminating panty lines and staying comfortable. Any recommendations on how to get used to thongs? Preferred brands or styles? And any thoughts on laundering and care? Many thanks in advance.

Big Girl Biking Panties?

Velo girls, help! Where can I find well-fitting, breathable, non-bunching underwear for biking? I've really gotten into cycling since getting a bike in February, and I've been commuting to work a few days a week as well as going on longer and longer rides on the weekends. I've figured out what works for me clothing-wise for both scenarios except for one thing: panties.

I know many (most?) people don't wear anything under their bike bottoms, but when I tried that it was pretty unpleasant--I really need an additional layer of moisture wicking between me and the bike shorts--and anyway I'd like something I can wear under my regular clothes when I commute, too. What I wear now bunches up annoyingly when I ride, and the ones that do stay in place are made of a non-breathable material, which leads to an entirely different kind of unpleasantness.

So can you recommend some breathable, wedgie-proof cycling panties? I'm a plus-sized girl but can generally wear XL in underthings, and I prefer bikini-style, as boyshorts, hipsters, and tangas don't tend to work with my body geometry (and thongs are just out of the question). I'm not specifically looking for padded panties, as my skorts and shorts are padded and I seem to do fine without any padding for my weekday commute, but I wouldn't turn down those recommendations, either.

Fullest of full-cut girls' briefs?

Where can I find very full-cut little girls' briefs? I am having trouble finding briefs that are truly full-cut for my almost-3-year-old daughter. I've tried Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, and Carter's. Though they're all marked "full brief" or "classic brief," they're quite a bit higher on the leg and lower in the waist than I remember from my girlhood, and whenever I undress her they've practically disappeared.

I figured as long as she didn't mind, I didn't mind, but now I think she's uncomfortable in them, because over the last couple of weeks she's taken to wearing her brother's underpants instead, which fit well in terms of coverage. But I figure the extra bulk in front has to be less comfortable than if she had a fuller-cut girls' brief. (Maybe I'm wrong about this, though, and should just buy her boys' briefs.)

I'd really like to find the granniest of the granny panties for little girls.

Heay baby, wanna 86?

Why do some Victoria's Secret panties have an 86 on the butt? So, Victoria's Secret panties have many catchy slogans on the butt, like "Nice Buns" and "I heart bananas". They also have three different styles with the number 86 on the bum.

Is this some kind of double entendre? Just a graphic motif? A play on "69"? Was the store founded in 1986? 1886? My friend thinks they were just looking for a round number, but I think there must be a joke in there somewhere. Any thoughts?

Anonymous' Secret

I want to buy myself some luxurious, indulgent, gorgeous underwear/lingerie. Recommendations? I am specifically looking for a matching bra and panty set that I can wear under everyday clothes. The bra should be an actual supportive bra with underwires, not a triangle bra or a bralette or a cami. Nothing costumey, no big bows or feathers or any of that. Smaller embellishments are okay as long as they wouldn't look lumpy under a shirt or pants. Comfort is important, too. I want something that looks good, feels good, and is well-made.

I've been looking around but have been overwhelmed by choice. I've been to both La Perla and Agent Provocateur and wasn't blown away, and if I'm going to be spending that much on one bra I want it to be worth it.

My size is within the range of most clothing lines, and other than an underwire bra I have no special needs fit-wise. I've been professionally fitted for a bra within the past six months.

I do not have a strict budget, but I prefer to save money, and my expectations rise with cost. If I spend $50 on a pair of underwear it had better be the best thing that I have ever put on my butt. If I spend $100 it had better be twice as good as the $50 pair.

I'm open to different styles and looks. There are some high-end boutiques within driving distance but I would much rather shop online.

Any recommendations you have would be helpful, especially brand-specific ones. If there are brands or stores I should steer clear of, that would help me too.

How can I prevent myself from getting "skid marks" in my underwear?

How can I prevent myself from getting "skid marks" in my underwear? I, first and foremost, want to say that this is in fact a serious question to an embarrassing problem of mine. You can probably understand why I decided to ask the question anonymously.

Anyway, I'm a male adult who, for years, have been getting what some people refer to as being "skid marks" in my underwear. I have lots of ideas as to what this could be caused by, but there are no certainties. All I know that the marks don't appear due to me not wiping well enough; I take proper care to wipe thoroughly.

A few reasons could be because:

1. I've a hairy bottom which makes it tough to get everything from there.
2. I sweat a lot "down there".
3. I wear semi-tight briefs.

I don't recall having this problem back when I wore boxers, but I could be wrong. For the past few years, I've become used to wearing briefs and it would feel strange to switch back to boxers. But I'd be willing to do it to prevent the skids, but only if I knew that it would stop the problem.

Anyway - does anyone know if this is common? I've spoken to people who claim that this is a very common problem amongst men, and tends to be a lot less of a problem when it comes to females. For the record, I've actually come across panties which had skids in them, so I definitely know that it happens to females too.

Selling used panties

I'm thinking of selling my used panties. Thoughts? We are talking the sex fetish here, where a girl (me) wears or masturbates in panties which are then sent to a purchaser. I'm in the early stages of determining if this is a worthwhile endeavour. My goal is to make money safely. Has anyone here ever done this, what advice would you give? FWIW I live in Canada, Ontario specifically. I am already thinking of how to conceal my personal identity.
Basic Black Underwear

Basic black women's underwear. . . it shouldn't be this difficult to find, should it? I am in search of women's bikini panties. Black, no other colors. Cotton, maybe with a bit of stretchy stuff added, but none of this weird micromodal fabric because it makes me sweaty. The catch is that I'd like them to cost less than $5 a pair. And no silly brand names or logos on the waistband.

All my searching at local stores and googling has turned up stuff that is too lacy, thong-y, covered in logos, expensive, or is the wrong colors. If you know where to find what I'm looking for, please share.

Do you recognize the underwear seen at 1:20 in this video, and secondly, recommendations for interesting artisanal lingerie? (Asking on behalf of Ms Forktine; video link basically SFW as long as your work is cool with improv people in un-sexy underwear on the subway.)

At about 1:20 in the video, there is a brief (pun unintended) shot of a woman wearing dark, striped knickers with some white detailing on either side in front, and some sort of X or bowtie in the center. Ms Forktine was looking over my shoulder, and said "I want those!"

First, does anyone recognize the specific brand/model the woman in the video is wearing?

Second, and more generally, can anyone recommend any specific artisanal or small-scale lingerie designers who sell online? There are so many on Google and Etsy that it is overwhelming trying to sort through them; what I'm hoping for here is suggestions from happy customers, friends-of-a-friend, or other ways to cull the possibilities. Every-day or special-occasion; cost is not the primary factor; plus-sizing not needed; she is open to anything from corsets to knickers to chemises to whatever, as long as it is better quality and/or more interesting than what you find at the mall.

Cute and classy lingerie online or in NYC?

Ruffly panties online, or in NYC? i.e. cute, classy panties/bras/corsets/etc that won't break the bank. Victoria's Secret falls apart pretty fast, in my experience. Looking for something a step up, but not ridiculously expensive or (on the other hand) trashy. At the very least, how much should I be looking to spend on such a thing? No stretch lace, or "crotch-free," or no neon pink is the idea here. I've checked the archives and not really come up with anything helpful, other than one post about vintage online stuff. Sizes are "average" = 34C, dress size 6-8.

Are you hiding your valuables in your crotch?

What are the "pockets" on the inside of women's panties for? In some of my panties (similar to these) there is this pocket-like thing inside the crotch area that opens from the front (not like a fly on men's briefs which opens to the outside world; it only opens to the inside). It's like there is a dual layer of fabric in the crotch area that is not sewed down in the front. My best guess is that it's for a sanitary pad or a vibrator, but it seems too small for a pad, and odd that a major brand would sell something specifically for a vibrator. That seems like something you'd buy at a sex shop. Hanes brand panties don't have these in my experience, and the cotton Jockeys mostly don't either. (these definitely don't). If it's functional, why don't all panties have them? I feel horribly naive asking this, but not knowing is driving me crazy.

Nice pants, for a girl

Los Angeles nice underwear for Valentines day? I want to get my girlfriend some nice silk panties for Valentine's Day. You still call 'em panties, right?

So, I need two things—suggestions for the most comfortable brands/styles of silk underwear, and suggestions on where to buy 'em in LA. I don't need bras, just panties. And while a little style is nice, I'm mostly interested in her saying "Damn, these feel fantastic."

What to do with all these panties?

What to do with all these panties? Okay, so I have recently been on a quest for better underwear that actually fits and doesn't fall off my rather narrow hips. And hooray, I found it at last, but in the meantime I've acquired a whole bunch of underwear that I don't like.
It's been worn, but isn't worn out, and I don't like to give it to Goodwill or similar since I don't think anyone would want to buy someone's old underwear.
Any ideas what I could do with it? Craft project? There are about 20 pairs in varying colors, either all-cotton or mostly cotton with spandex.

underwear?

Where can I find cute/sexy underwear online that will not cost half of my paycheck? Victoria's Secret 5/$25 underwear was a good deal before it stopped being cute. Victoria's Secret bras were also a good deal before they 1. made all of their normal bras have tons of padding and 2. stopped making their specialty bras for a wide range of sizes.

I want to pay under $10 for panties and under $45 for (good quality and comfortable) bras, what do you suggest?

Is it common for women to wear pantyliners all the time?

Is it common for women to wear pantyliners all the time? My girlfriend does, except for during her period, during which time she wears pads. She says she doesn't like her panties to get wet: she says it makes her feel gross. She's done this all her life. Does this point to body issues? Women, does it make you feel "icky" to walk around in panties without a liner?

Selling used undies?

Selling used, ahem, clothing online. I met a woman who sold used underthings on the good ol' web and made a killing. What are the laws regarding this, and how does one go about selling? Legitimate, trustworthy sites? Tips? Warnings?

I realize that it's probably better to sell plasma or lemonade, but to hear that an attractive woman can make $200+ on a pair of $5 Wal-mart undies is just too attractive a thought to dismiss on the grounds of perversion.

Ladies (and some gents): What do you wear under your skirt?

Ladies (and some gents): What do you wear under your skirt? While I'm normally found in jeans and a t-shirt, I do like wearing a skirt once in a while. Now, I don't know if this is only for plus-sized gals or if most women have this problem, but when I do, my thighs will rub together, sweat, and chafe. I usually sidestep this problem by wearing some shorts underneath the skirt, but this isn't an ideal solution--they get too bunchy and bulky. I don't wear pantyhose, spandex shorts just make me feel gross, men's boxer-briefs don't fit me well and typically are too short, and the only long-leg underwear I find online is either the tight body-shaping kind or granny panties.

Is there anyplace that sells nice cotton undies with a leg that comes to around mid-thigh? Barring that, heck, how feasible would it be to start my own small online business selling these suckers? There must be a market for them.

Why do my undies smell?

Underwear material+vaginal discharge= strong odor? I've noticed that when I wear certain underwear, i have an issue with odorous vaginal discharge that isn't normally a problem. Is it possible/conceivable that there is a chemical reaction between my discharge and the underwear material? Has anyone else experienced this?
