I had a minor cold about a week ago that has turned into a sinus infection (I think). The cold was pretty bad for a couple days, but then I was completely fine for 4 days. I'm having some nasal congestion, and swollen lymph nodes, but the worst problem is that I am getting this nasty headache whenever I'm on my feet/trying to do anything. No tiredness, no fever, no aches or chills. I've been getting these awful headaches for 3 or 4 days. I'm off work until Tuesday, but I'm worried that this won't be resolved by then, and am looking for any ideas to stop/lessen these headaches. [more inside]
Posting on behalf of my partner, whose bad tooth has worsened: the crown's gone. They're experiencing a throbbing headache towards the back of their head, "behind the eyes." While the pain has been off-and-on for a while, the last two days have been tough to get through. As of today, they also have a combination of pain/stiffness in the back of their neck. [more inside]
When I have gone too long without eating, I tend to get a neck-ache, often also accompanied by a headache localized at my temple. Why is this? What's going on, physiologically? [more inside]
hey everyone. A short while back, I was in a phase where I was straining alot when I was peeing. I was being very OCD about emptying my bladder is what I'm saying. I did this until I started to feel a pain in my abdomen as well as an aching sensation in the right side of my head. I immediately stopped. While the pain in the abdomen went away, the headache persisted. Eventually I went to my MD and he didn't seem that worried about it and said it would go away. The head sensation sort of changes often. Sometimes it's a mild to moderate pain and sometimes it feels like sort of a cold feeling on the right side of my head if that makes sense. i wanted to get you guy's takes on this.
My 79 year old dad fell and hit his head on the metal bathtub door runner 3 weeks ago. He was outside of the bathtub, fell backward, and hit the base of his skull on the right side. It is continuing to hurt at a level that makes him not want to take care of his basic needs beyond getting to the bathroom. I am working on getting home nursing and custodial services set up, though he's convinced that if he could just get the headache to go away, he wont need any of those services. What's the cause, what's the treatment? [more inside]

Dear MeFites, please help me find a way to live without these constant headaches. I have had chronic daily headaches, and at least 2-3 migraines a month, for the past ten years. I have tried everything I can think of short of surgery but nothing besides taking painkillers seems to help (and those only a little these days). [more inside]

So, I'm pretty sure that I'm on the tail end of what fits the definition of a migraine. It hurts a lot less than it did. What do I say when I call the doctor's office? [more inside]
