Requesting guidance re: stalkerish ex-friend

Hi all, I have a former friend with mental health issues who is somewhat obsessed with me and has been increasingly creeper-ish over the past year. I just found out today that he now lives within 1.5 miles of me and I'm a bit freaked out. Would like to request input/advice re: next steps, partially because I'm not sure how concerned I should be. More after the cut. [more inside]

Help me get a job as a CNA in a hospital! Advice needed, questions...

How can I give myself the best shot at getting into PA school?

I am 28, and will soon be setting out on the long journey of becoming a PA. I already have a bachelor's in another field, but I now need two years of science prereqs before I apply to PA schools. Should I go to my local community college for the prereqs (it'll be cheaper, and I'll have a better shot at getting top grades), or should I go to the more respectable, more expensive local university where straight A's will be harder to come by? In other words, what do you think admissions officers are more likely to value: excellent grades from a community college or the occasional B from a state university known for its medical school? Should I become a phlebotomist as a path to PA school?

I'm 27 and would like to become a physician's assistant (PA), but don't have any background in medicine, a prerequisite for nearly every PA program. Should I go through a phlebotomy program? Are there phlebotomy jobs out there? Would this be a good way to get working hours as a medical professional? [more inside]

How to best use a virtual assistant service effectively?

We are trying out a virtual assistant service which uses remote human personal assistants based in the US that are communicated with through email and an app. The model is that you buy a month's package of requests that you can make (e.g. 15 task requests, with each task not meant to take more than 20 minutes). It can be a bit difficult to think up tasks for the assistants to do, especially if you only want to make requests for tasks that will save you a big amount of time (rather than tasks - make a restaurant booking etc.- which you could do yourself in just a little more time than it takes to make a request). What are your tips for using this kind of service most effectively? What kinds of task requests are most "bang for your buck" , bearing in mind the limit of a standard month's package of 15 tasks? Thanks!

Career indecision-sonographer or PA? Where does baby fit in? Urgent!

I am 35, my husband is 44. I have always struggled with my career, and recently quit my job and entered a sonography program. Just before entering the program I am in, I also applied to PA school. I have been offered a place in PA school, and I do not know what to do. Lately my biology has caught up with me (baby. now.) and I do not want to put off baby much longer (we could start trying to conceive in exactly one year if I stay and complete the sonography course-I am in the second quarter of a two year course). If I switch to PA, (program is also two years but does not start until 7 months from now) it means either having a baby during my clinical year and going straight back to rotations (ouch) or putting baby off for TWO more years...also ouch. It is worth noting that I do not think that I am strong enough/career motivated enough to leave my baby for 12-14 hours per day, which is why either way, I would like to have the baby at the end of either program, so that I can stay home for a few months before starting my first job. Please see more inside. [more inside]
