What do you do with an ostrich egg?

What do you do with an ostrich egg? Other than making a really huge fried egg? Whole Foods around here sells ostrich, goose & duck eggs. So what do you do with these really large eggs other than use them as big chicken eggs? Are there specific cooking techniques or recipes for these things? Are they different in their internal composition (other than volume/mass) in any way?

The Other Kind Of Red Meat

Restaurant with ostrich fillets in San Francisco? My wife and I (both graduate students) are looking for a good restaurant (not Fuddruckers, but not snooty) in San Francisco that serves ostrich fillets to eat at for our two year anniversary.

Does anyone have recommendations for restaurants with ostrich on the menu.

not bird porn

I am unable to find a picture of someone with their hand spread out down an ostrich's throat. Before you turn away in disgust, you must know that this is by no means some horrible sordid bird neck porn I'm looking for, it is totally on the up and up. My (admittedly dim) recollection has it in National Geographic or something like that, illustrating the marvelous throat flexibility of the ostrich. It's a picture of a guy with his hand spread out an ostrich neck so you can see the fingers and thumb and stuff - and the ostrich doesn't seem to mind that much.

This remembered picture was the basis recently of some casual remarks to a friend at the pub, immediately and vociferously disbelieved. Conjecturing that such a classic image would be all over the Web, and this being the future, I was able to produce my pocket Internet and google on the spot. I was sure faith in my wisdom would be restored in a few seconds, but to my amazement queries proved fruitless, and to this day certain parties remain mocking and skeptical, and my very sanity is now possibly called into question.

Stricken, I lurch forth in search of aid. I am in desperate need of corroboration or refutation of my assertions.

Help me find the Joust like graphic seen on this shirt. I'm looking for either a digital copy of the image or a similar version of the image, or worst case, a link to someone who sells an adult size version of that shirt.

Help me paint an ostrich egg

A friend of mine asked me to paint an ostrich egg for her husband. I am happy to do it but I have no idea how. I normally paint in oils on stretched canvas. There is only one egg and I don't want to mess it up. Specific questions are: 1) What is the best paint medium (e.g. oil, acrylic, ...) ?
2) Should I/How/with what am I going to prime the surface?
3) Any suggestions on how best to deal with the curved surface?

The subject matter will be figurative. I would appreciate if you could warn me on any other issue I should be aware of. Thank you all in advance for your help.
