how do I minimize the number of applications I use to track various areas of my life?

how do I minimize the number of applications I use, while still keeping my organization online? Over the past year, I have been trying to go fully paperless, and web-based. This meant migrating from Outlook to Gmail, Gcal, etc. However, now I am drowning in apps. I have Wesabe for finances, Google for calendar and mail, Todoist for todo lists, WeightWatchers app to track my food, another app to track my workouts. Is there any way around that? Unfortunately, I am finding that an app meant solely for a specific task work better than an all in one solution... Has anyone figured out the best way? Help!

How to be a membership chair?

I have recently been appointed the 'membership chair' for a hobby-related organization of which I have been a member for some years. The club president and I have agreed that my duties will consist largely of:

* Contacting members who have lapsed and inviting them to rejoin

* Devising various means of recruiting new members

I have no experience in this sort of work. I could definitely use pointers, suggestions, and especially referrals to any articles or books that may be relevant.

Organizing better to raise money?

I work as a fund raiser and need a better system of organization for following up on calls to and from alumni. We are using Banner, which is very clunky and heretofor I am unable to leave the system. I feel very reliant on the computer but as my portfolio grows smaller I want to find a more desk-oriented system that will allow me to peruse my portfolio and follow up on things faster. Any suggestions? [more inside]

After years of frustration, help me find the planner I really want.

Daily Planner Question: need a two-page-per-day, "classic" (5 1/2 x 8 1/2) size. Have used DayTimer and Franklin (Covey) alternately for years. Standard packages from both either have extraneous materials that I don't need renewed each year or force me to order a base package that is insufficient and supplement it with specific things a la carte, driving up the price. Finding the national artistic news spotlight?

Our non-profit arts organization has just earned the support (in the form of a very big grant) from an internationally renowned foundation.
