Opening a PDF from a Flash projector?

Opening a PDF from a Flash projector? I've tried all the obvious stuff.

I set up .bat files for all my .pdfs, but they didn't like that flash of the black command line box.

So I used a launcher.exe program from flashgeek that works...but for whatever reason, Acrobat takes _forever_ to load using that method. So that won't work.

I'd just use getURL, but that dosen't work if you've got Firefox as your default. I know there's a work around, but it didn't work at all for me.

Any ideas?

how to open a store?

I've been thinking of opening a store in my town but need some advice on getting started My main question is how and where do small retail stores order their merchandise from. If I were to open a store it would be a mix of apparel, books, music, skateboards, and accessories. Is there some sort of distributor or process to order from a certain company?

Also any advice or personal experience is appreciated

What do you use to open Velux or other roof windows?

What do you use to open Velux or other roof windows?

So we have 3 velux type roof windows in our new house - all of which are out of arms reach, including one which is over the stairs so we can't easily use a ladder to reach it either. Any suggestions for what to use to open them apart from the official velux opening rod which is 25 quid. We tried a walking stick which is fine for a bit until the head broke off!!

Anyway I look forward to your ingenious answers.

Where to see Episide III in SF?

Which is the best theater in San Francisco to see the midnight showing of Episode III on opening night (in terms of picture size and sound quality, and, of course, ticket availability.) No snarks from the haters, please. AMC 1000? Kabuki? Union Street? Metreon?
