I have a question about whether having a photocopy of your green Ontario car ownership document is accepted by the police if you ever get stopped. Also have conflicting info about where to keep your ownership / insurance. In the car? In your wallet? What if two of you use the car? Small snow bank inside

I gave two weeks' notice at my work last Friday after over two years of committed service. The next day I received a phone call from my boss telling me I wouldn't be needed. I am paid by the hour and had these two coming weeks factored into my budget. I need the income to pay my bills. I live in Ontario and I wonder what I'm owed, if anything.

I'm a web developer in Toronto who is currently operating as a sole proprietor. A prospective new client would really like to hire me for a major new project, but they can only deal with incorporated companies and cannot hire a sole prop. I'm looking for advice on incorporating from a) people in Canada and especially Ontario, but also from b) anyone who has any relevant advice about the experience of becoming an Inc., even if you are not Canadian. Yes, I will be engaging an accountant or lawyer for specific advice if I do decide to move forward, so I'm not worried that some specific advice may not be appropriate for my jurisdiction: I'm just trying to get a broad picture of what it's like (and some recommendations for lawyers/accountants).

I'm trying to remember the name of a children's TV show broadcast on (I think) YTV around 1995, I think it was in the slot after Camp Cariboo. It was probably Canadian, and it had a mailbox puppet that said "YOOOOOOU BET!" when asked if there was any mail, and one of the men on the show used to dress up like a bee, which I remember terrifying me as a child. It may have been broadcast on TVO, but I'm fairly certain it was YTV.

I am filing tax returns for a number of prior years. One of those years was spent renting an apartment, but having almost no income whatsoever to claim. Rent was paid through a variety of means (read: help from parents). It was one of those years. Do I claim the rent paid?

What are my options to rent an indoor gym for basketball in Richmond Hill, Ontario? 10 university students who work and live in the area. The community center offers a relatively high rate by the hour so were wondering where else we could consider renting a basketball gym in and around Richmond Hill.

Can anyone identify this Ontario camping area, based on my slightly spotty recollection of smooth yellowish rocks by the beach and a rock wall bordering my individual campsite?

My fiance and I made the mistake of renting from a young friend of mine who just bought her first house here in London, Ontario, Canada. We have been here since November 1st with nothing but trouble - construction which pushed back our move-in date by two weeks and then continued for weeks afterwards, incredibly loud dogs (she has 3 dogs upstairs who are almost always in cages) not to mention domestic fights from upstairs.

I'm looking to relocate to Ontario for the summer with the possibility of staying longer if I'm accepted to one of the schools that I've applied to there. In particular, I've been looking at London, Hamilton, possibly Brantford. My significant other lives in New York (I'm moving from B.C.) so close to the border would be nice if there's a decent supply of job opportunities. What about Niagara Falls or St. Catharines? Too touristy? Are there any places that I should avoid. My budget is tight, but I want someplace safe.. If you're familiar with B.C., I'd like to avoid places similar to East Hastings or Granville at all cost.

My girlfriend is planning on transferring to a university on the east coast next semester (Ontario or Quebec with preference for Quebec). She has little experience with French so anglophone universities are a necessity. Currently attending a university in British Columbia (the name escapes me), she has a 3.4 gpa and hopes to bring that up to between 3.5 and 3.7 by the end of this semester. What are good schools? Safety schools? [In Quebec] How difficult will it be to locate part-time employment without speaking much, if any, French?
[She's undecided on a major so ideally the school would have a good sciences or liberal arts program]
