I Can probably get my mitts on a webcam at a push, but am otherwise fairly limited. Am open to various suggestions, the funner the better!
Can attach two projectors to two computers if needs be.
My grandma likes to play with the intnernets.

What are some good online games for my 84 year old grandmother? In the last year, my grandma has learned how to "use" the internet, which for her means emails and clicking on links I send to her in emails. She really gets a kick out of it and I know it makes her feel really with-it, and I think she'd really enjoy playing some games that aren't solitaire.

The requirements:
-The games must be intuitive--play by either simple clicks of the mouse or use of the arrow keys/spacebar.
-Explicit directions are given for each task (i.e. no escape-the-room games), or they are based on well-known games. Simple puzzle games are great, but something a little more spectacular than a crossword puzzle or word search.
-Grandma safe. No bad words, limited violence (I think she'd be fine with "killing" a really cartoonish character, if it were funny), no extreme flashing colors, no heinous music (though a cheerful tune and/or sound effects are great).
-Must not be time-limited. A timer tracking how long she takes (where she tries to beat her own fastest time) would be just fine, but something where she can't win unless she goes a certain speed will cause her to click wildly and the next thing I know I'm getting a phone call saying that she'd "love to email me but she deleted the google".
-Must be pretty. (She has all the standard plugins installed and I can walk her through a new one without much issue, so go hog-wild.) Let's show her how nicely the internet has progressed since 2002 and give her something her 84 year old friends haven't seen yet so she can show off after bridge club.

Thanks!

Online Card Trading Games?

Do you know of an online card trading game where you "combine" cards to make a new card? Alternatively, any online game where one component + another component = something more powerful? I've spec'd out a new online card trading game. Before I enter into a contract for development, I'd like to be certain that previous games exist in this genre. By showing a precedent of more than one game, I can feel more confident that legal issues will not occur.

A little background:
This came in response to a game that I enjoy playing. Recent changes by the developers have had a large backlash by players. The devs' responses have been rude or condescending.

I would like to take the original game idea (the part the players liked), expand upon it (new trading area ideas) and release it to the social networking masses. However, the combining of cards is something new to me. I want to be certain that the aforementioned development team can't cry "FOUL!" and end up with attorneys at my door.

I'm not asking for legal advise. Just some help from gamers to see if I can point fingers at other games and show that these guys weren't the first to think of 1 + 1 = 2.

Many, many thanks!

Bejeweled.. But Not

Addictive online game filter: Help me find a certain online game I miss. It's 'sort of' similar to Bejeweled. A few years ago there was an online game that I used to be addicted to. I can't remember its name, but I played a few variations. After looking around Addicting Games, I think the game I remember is very similar to Bejeweled. Edit: Bejeweled is interesting but isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, now we have to rely on my bad description!

Basically, I remember there was a board filled with brightly colored pieces (I've played essentially the same game with colored umbrellas and colored orbs). There are maybe four different colors, and the pieces are arranged randomly in stacks (the end result might look something like a full Tetris board). All adjacent pieces of the same color form a 'block,' and the object was to click on these blocks. The bigger the block of pieces, the more points you scored. As pieces were eliminated, the remainder would drop down, forming new blocks with like colors. The ultimate goal was to have as few pieces (or, no pieces) left at the end of the game. Okay, I hope I explained that well.

Does this sound similar to any games you know? I'm looking for any games that are similar to what I've described, though I'm hoping to find something pretty close. I'd be happy to find either an online version of the game or Windows freeware. Or even just a name so that I can Google!

How to run an online poker night?

I'm looking for a way to have an online poker night with friends who don't live near me. We'd like to play texas hold'em. Bonus if we can use mac and windows machines, but windows-only is ok.

The free online poker sites i looked at (e.g. yahoo) didn't seem to have any control over the tables. The pay sites looked like you had to have some cash in your account to get a private table, and then it wasn't clear if there was a rake. (i'm guessing there would be.)

So, is there any software or website out there that can facilitate our game?

(Interestingly the new version of skype comes with "extras" some of which allow you to play games with the people you're chatting with. unfortunately, no poker yet.)

Me want new IP address

Can I easily and regularly change the network address of my Comcast provided IP? I host online games (halo). Some freaks with no life have decided to disrupt the games I host, so I'd like to change my ip address so that I can't be easily id'ed by them.

I have Comcast broadband and I've tried disconnecting the modem or powering it off and restarting the computer, but the system never gets a new ip, just keeps the old one. Is there anyway around this?

Mac ox 10.3.9 system.

MMPORGs for Beginners

What's a good MMORPG to get started with? I don't want to pay a monthly fee, and I want something that is beginner-friendly. Star Wars Galaxies seemed like the way to go, but I won't be playing it enough to pay a monthly fee on top of the purchase price.
