If you do a search for my company’s website on Google, one of the top hits is a page at Quantcast.com that purports to display “visitor statistics” for our domain. These statistics are wildly inaccurate by orders of magnitude and make it look as though our site gets only a tiny percentage as many visitors as it actually does. What’s more, there are all kinds of demographic charts and info, purportedly about our site, that don’t seem to have any connection to reality whatsoever. How do I get them to stop misrepresenting us? [more inside]

Can a senator's press conference, declared "open to the media," exclude a member of the online media (who happens to be an SPJ member) because they do not consider him to represent a legitimate member of the press?

I am interested in pursuing a degree in law. There are no law schools where I live and am too settled to uproot. What do mefites think about online law programs? Legitamacy, practicality, etc? Any suggestions on one over another? Personal experiences? One other complication is I live in Louisiana (where our law code is a little bit idiosyncratic). Does this affect national online law school choices? TIA

Theoretically: what are the legalities of reselling something I bought off of a website which was later shut down for copyright infringement. The first example that comes to mind is about selling DJ Danger Mouse's Grey Album on eBay. Would I get nailed for this, either by the men in suits or by eBay?

How does one find a lawyer? I'm skeptical of the online directories I can find with Google, as well as lawyers who are aggressively advertising. There must be a better way than picking one at random from the phone book. A friend looking for legal help with disability stuff has asked for my advice on this matter, and I turn to you, O MeFites.
