Road trip! My mom and I are driving from Eastern Long Island to Stillwater, OK, via (tentatively) Harrisburg PA, Charleston WV, Mammoth Cave State Park KY, St Louis MO, and Bartlesville OK. I'm looking for a journal article or book that addresses the first writers active in Oklahoma territory (before statehood in 1907).
