Planespotting at O'Hare: The Security Aspect

What should we be prepared with if a friend and I want to go plane spotting at O'Hare? I've got ideas on where we can watch planes from. As we check these locations out, it may arouse the suspicion of authorities who may come pay us a visit.

I plan on us taking our IDs, a camera and being honest about our motives with any security personnel we may encounter. Is this a good strategy? Does anyone have experience with plane spotting at O'Hare?

Six hour layover in Chicago

Six hour layover in Chicago. Is it feasible to take the train to O'Hare, get to the Art Institute for a quick visit (I really want to see one painting) and then get back to O'Hare and not miss the plane? This would happen on a Friday, 3PM-9PM. And, if it's not doable, what's the yummiest food at O'Hare? (I'll just have a big dinner and a nap if I have to stay inside the airport). Thanks!

ChicagoTransportationFilter: Help me get from O'Hare to Schamburg tomorrow morning.

My flight arrives at 6:40 and I need to get to the Hyatt in Schamburg by 8:15-ish. Prefer train but don't know if it's possible. I'd like to keep the trip as inexpensive as possible and know that I can take a cab for $24.

I prefer to take a train if possible but don't know what series of trains I would take or if the schedule would work given my timeline.

Arlington Station to the Hyatt is $10 by taxi.

Thanks in advance.

Cheap hotel and meat on Christmas Eve

What are the cheapest h/motels near O'Hare in Chicago? Also, what are some restaraunts--open on Christmas Eve--in the area serving red meat? I'll be in Chicago with a friend on Christmas Eve this year, and I need a place to stay near O'Hare (nothing too seedy) before we fly to India the next day (which explains the red meat portion of the question).

Cheap for me means <$70

Near O'Hare means a quick cab ride away at the furthest

Red meat means a steak or something similar

Christmas Eve means a time for joy
