Help me sell an office's furniture in SoCal.

What is the best way to sell office furniture in Southern California (Orange County)? I have an entire small office worth of office furniture that is less than a year old and needs to be sold within about the next month. The company we bought from is not being helpful. With Craigslist as a last resort, what is the best way to sell an entire office's furniture and get a decent amount for it? I realize we won't get anywhere near what we paid, but it's pretty nice furniture, including a big conference table, leather chairs, and several big, nice desks and other furniture. We also have a phone system to sell, a server, copier, and that sort of thing, so if you know who to sell that sort of thing to, that would be great, too.

Great Adjustable Height Desk?

Anybody have an adjustable-height sit/stand desk they love? I'm looking for a sit-stand desk. I've read about the health benefits, and it makes sense to me. (I just spent 14 hours sitting at my desk today. In fact, I'm sitting here now. Gah.)

I'm not looking for just a standing desk like this, and I don't want to hear about the benefits (like this). I know I want it, and I want one that moves between sitting and standing positions, with a crank, or hydraulics, or electronics. Or lasers. I don't care how it moves (though I'd like it to be easy).

I'm in Austin, TX, USA; local's ideal, but shipping is OK.

AFC seems to have lots of options, but it's expensive - the basic model I picked out was quoted at $2300. That's a bit steep for a desk; I could consider paying that, but not sight-unseen. Lista Office appears to make a nice one: but the only US distributors I could find (1, 2) don't seem to carry the office line. Word is that Ikea used to make one, but don't anymore. Ebay led me to this one, but I can't tell if that's high enough quality.

Also, I have a two monitor setup, so I'd want something a little wider than this.

Mainly, I'm looking for an endorsement from someone who has and loves one. Anybody?

Help me outfit a small, windowless office.

Halp! I'm being forced to move to a new office in the building. How do I solve the mystery of outfitting for a smaller space? The new office is only about 11 feet by 11 feet and my current office furniture is too big for that space. The compensation for me moving to a smaller, windowless office is that I get to buy all new furniture for it. The only thing I know to order now is an Aeron chair.
What cool, small desk, filing cabinet and book shelves should I order? Any suggestions for mimicking natural light in my new cave? How about a napping couch?
As for what I have to occupy shelves: an Aiwa boombox, a bunch of CDs, some books and a bunch of cool knick knacks. Oh, and my desk should have room for two 19" Samsung flat monitors, a keyboard, a mouse and room for writing notes and phone numbers and whatnot.
Any suggestions?

Moduar Furniture Experience?

Has anyone had experience ordering furniture from Levenger.com? Or know of any modular office solutions similar to Levenger's "Euro Desk System"? We're about to make a big ($2K-$3K) furniture purchase -- assembling a "home office nook" in the corner of our living room. We've measured twice and are ready to cut. We've found what we think we want on levenger.com (a variant of this setup), but they don't appear to have any showrooms near us (NYC). The neat thing for us about this furniture is that we're able to it lay it out to exactly fit our space. But we are hesitant to complete the purchase without the opportunity to do all the things one does when physically examining furniture. (touch it, "get a feel", verify the measurements, and so on.)
Can anyone:
* Vouch for Levenger?
* Suggest other venues for similar, but more easily try-out-able furniture stores that specialize in modular/component furniture pieces? (Levenger's "Euro Desk System.)
(Neither of us are carpenters, and time is an issue, so no "build it yourself" or "have it built yourself" suggestions please". )
(Also, this is my first AskMe, so I hope this is an appropriate Q.)

I'm looking for a source for "alternative" cubicle walls.

I'm looking for a source for "alternative" cubicle walls. I need to partition off part of a large room for an office, but I don't want the "classic" corporate cubicle. I was thinking of some sort of semi-opaque material to let light through but still maintain some privacy. Any pointers to pre-fabricated sources appreciated (as are alternative ideas)

Is there any reason not to buy a used ergonomic chair?

Is there any reason not to buy a used ergonomic chair? I have back issues owing to a life of computer programming and bad posture. I'm looking into buying one of the high-end ergo chairs. Although I can probably afford to buy one new, I noticed that I can save > $300 if I buy one used off ebay. Is this a bad idea? Do these chairs' components generally wear out over time?

Also, do you have any reccomendations for which chair to buy? I'm currently favoring at the Steelcase Leap and the Humanscale Liberty. The Aeron comes in third, although I haven't been too impressed with this option.

Looking for an Aeron-quality chair that doesn't move

Where can I get a good, Aeron-quality task chair, either with no wheels or with locking casters? {MI} I know this is basically ChairFilter: The Reckoning at this point, but I am really and truly stumped. I've checked the archives, Googled, etc. Anyhow:

I just moved into a great, old apartment with floors that slope slightly from one wall to the other. As a result, my much-beloved Aeron chair, my only relic from the dot-com boom, rolls inexorably away from my desk and crashes into the opposite wall. Even if I put a rug down, the chair rolls as soon as it's moved from a resting position. This is good, I suppose, in a kind of exercise-at-your-desk way, but is mostly just annoying.

What I really need is a very comfortable, preferably adjustable chair, preferably with the same design value as the Aeron, that either has no wheels or has wheels that lock. Does anybody make or have a chair like this? Or am I better off just buying a cool-looking regular chair, and dealing with it that way? Is it possible to buy locking casters and install them on my chair?

Where to Find a Desk in Chelsea, New York?

What office furniture should I get and where from?

Office furniture: where to buy it used and what kind do you use? [more] So, I am looking to move this spring, and as part of my move I want to ditch all the old Ikea furniture and spring for some nice stuff for my home computer set-up. I've had my eyes set on a biomorph desk ever since the startup I worked for had them back in 2000. I love the adjustability, but I hate the price. There must be a cheaper way. So, this is a two part question:

1) Does anyone know where you can find good used office furniture online? Most of the places I've seen don't offer good info on inventory or look credible, and ebay doesn't seem to have what I want. Heck, if you know where I could get a biomorph desk used for cheap offline, too, I'd be interested.

2) Are there better desks out there than biomorph? I've seen anthro carts and kind of liked them, but they are, of course, not as stylish. Any reccomendations?

Thanks in advance.

Looking for Very Sturdy Desk with Few/No Drawers, Under $200

I've got a rather old and decrepit office-surplus Steelcase desk in my "home office" right now, and am looking for something newer that doesn't have drawers for me to fill up with crud.

Needs to be VERY sturdy (as I may have 2 or 3 large monitors on it at any time) and not wobbly or flimsy at all. I've looked at the IKEA "Jerker" desk, but the closest IKEA is in Houston (I'm in Austin) and buying one mail-order would be prohibitive.

Suggestions? Budget is $200 max.
