I'm helping design/manage a 50+ person co-working space. It's a non-profit, so we're doing a lot of things DIY. How do we deal with (mostly wireless) networking? Or do we really have to hire an IT consultant? [more inside]

So, I'm setting up a small office (3-4 stations). The roadblock I'm running into is the phone system, or lack thereof. My client would rather not drop three grand on it - understandably - but, this limits my options. Any suggestions? Used is fine, but I'm having trouble tracking one down locally. Thanks, in advance. Does anyone have any experience with Xerox Multifunction Printers?
I would like to take one step toward a paper-less office by purchasing either a stand-alone network scanner or a Xerox MFP. The Xerox MFP look good because they are network-able and I need a laser printer anyways.
Does anyone have any experience with the software and workflow with a network scanner? Any recommendations? I would like something that is both Mac and PC compatable.

I've lost my Microsoft Office install disk. Is it possible to transfer it from one Mac to another? If so, can I run both Macs on the same network without any troubles? (MORE INSIDE) [more inside]

An office has a single network drop which winds through the walls back to a switchbox in the server room. This office holds two occupants, both of whom would like access to the network. How would the occupants go about sharing this network drop? A "splitter" (is there such a thing?)? A router? Should one machine sharing the connection with the other? (Is more information needed?)
