Our
Noguchi coffee table is in need of some serious TLC. Does anyone know a good furniture repair place in NYC that could fix the broken leg and hinge, without overcharging us? We've already tried wood glue and failed, miserably.

I am looking to buy a desk and two-drawer lateral file cabinet in solid oak, Mission or Amish style. I have seen some nice furniture online (for example, at barnfurnituremart.com and missionliving.com), but have no idea if these are reliable sources. Does anyone have experience ordering this kind of furniture online, or alternatively, are there good stores in NYC?

We're in the process of relocating to New York and need help finding a great sofa bed for all of our impending visitors! Mr Hibbersk is currently there organizing our apartment in Brooklyn and we had planned to buy
this sofa bed from Ikea - however it is out of stock across the entire country and they don't know when it will be available (something about factory relocations and shortages).

I need an antique (or sufficiently vintage-y-antiqu-y styled) trunk for my living room. Problem: every piece I've seen to has been too big, too worn, too ugly, or too expensive. Where would I find stores/markets/fairs/dealers in the NYC metro area that might carry such trunks? I got a zipcar, so I can tool around the tri-state area. Insanely detailed requirements follow.

I see a few pieces of large furniture on NYC Craigslist I want to purchase. Are there movers in NYC who would take care of single-item, inter-borough moves like this for a decent price? And to follow up, are movers like this insured in case they do any damage during the move?
