US citizen, settled in UK. If I want to study mental health nursing in the UK, will I need (or should I get anyway) an access to higher education course, or can I just submit my old high school good grades from the 1990s? I'm 31.

Can a high-school senior overcome middling grades and hope to get into college and become a nurse or psychologist, or is it too late? We've known a girl, whom I'll call Lisa, since she and our son were in first grade. We lost touch for a while, but we recently reconnected. She is the youngest of four and lives with her mother. None of her siblings nor her mother graduated from high school. Until this year, Lisa was thinking of joining the military after high school, but now she is interested in becoming a nurse or psychologist. My wife and I want to help her get into college. How can we best do that? We are meeting with her school counselor soon. We live in the Denver area.

I really would like to get some help from somebody who knows about the regulations for international nursing in U.S..
I have ten years of nursing experiences as an registered nurse in Japan. I just graduated from a nursing program in the U.S. and would really like to work as a registered nurse.
I am not a U.S. citizen and have only a student visa (F-1). I would like to apply for H1-b visa if I can find a hospital that is willing to become a sponsor. However, I have had a hard time finding a hospital and some say it is almost impossible with current immigration situations to receive a working visa for nursing.

In the early years of HIPAA, I was didn't take it as seriously as I should have and was fired from a clerical position when I looked up a co-worker's date of birth. I was wrong and a total dumb ass for doing it. Now, I would like to know what I should say about it in my nursing school application since clinical hours include hours at the hospital I was fired from.

My daughter just had my grand daughter. The entire process was amazing and I haven't fallen in love this hard in nearly 20 years. (when my daughter was born) She has decided for the health and benefits of the baby to nurse. I nursed and I remember how hard it is the first 2 weeks. A great deal has changed and I was wondering if anyone had any practical advice on how to get through the rough beginning of nursing an infant with a barracuda grip. Are there any products, herbal remedies etc...
