The back of my head is getting pins and needles / partial numbness like it is 'falling asleep' from the blood circulation being cut off. Does that mean the blood circulation is going to get cut off to my brain also? [more inside]

I am wondering why my right arm randomly goes numb for no reason at all. I don't lift anything heavy or anything of that sort, so what could it possibly be?
Some of my friends seem to think these are early signs of a possible stroke or a heart attack but I can't really buy that since I am 22 years old, fairly relaxed with a normal amount of a stress than any college student would have.
I also take no medications, I live a fairly normal lifestyle.

Numb foot. I'm going to see the doctor about this next week, but wanted to get an idea of what people think this might be, and Google hasn't been so terribly helpful: I've been going all-but-completely numb in my left foot during the course of my four-to-six mile runs. It wears off when I get home, but sloooowwwwwly, and it's freaking me the fuck out. What's up? [more inside]

The tip of my left big toe* sometimes gets numb, down to the point about half-way down the nail, all around the toe. I can't see any cause for this. It's not injured or gangrenous. "What's up with that?"

Occasionally, when I sleep, I stick my arm under my pillow and rest my head on it (a leftover habit from having it in a cast years ago). I've gotten used to the confusion of having a numb, dead arm for a few minutes in the morning, but what's bothering me lately is something I remembered hearing a while back - which is that if you cut off circulation to a limb (put it to 'sleep') for long enough it can 'fall off' or suffer a similarly nasty fate.
So, can any sort of permanent, horrible damage result from what I'm doing, or is this just bunk?
