I'm trying to send notes from my iDevice to my Mac, and I'm wondering if such software exists. I don't mean 'Note'-notes.

I'm a big fan of Mac OS X's native application, Stickies. Screenshot here:
Stickies on overkill. You can make them translucent -- but is there a way/application to make them totally transparent, so that you'd only see the text, floating on top of your wallpaper?

I'm trying to figure out if a iPad is what I'm looking for to help me reduce my physical books, particularly cookbooks and printed (from the internet) recipes. I want to know first whether iPad is the way to go for my specific needs (details within) and then, if an iPad is what I want, which generation iPad & apps would help me do what I want. Or maybe there is a better solution?

I often jot down bits, lines, concepts and even entire poems on my iPhone in the notes section, as I have found that my atrocious handwriting proves illegible if I try to transfer my fleeting, rare moments of inspiration with a old-fashion pen and paper. But recently, an entire section of one of the notes disappeared...

There are tons of Mac notes applications out there, but I've yet to find the right one for managing the notes for my book. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?
