I saw on the David Allen (GTD) website a very nice sized wallet with a notepad build in. However, at $89 it's kinda expensive. "The wallet’s compact 3” x 4 3/4 “ design features 2 compartments for holding up to 5 cards, with 2 additional full size pockets for cash , receipts, or business cards. The wallet fits comfortably in your suit, jeans pocket or bag. " Where can I find a similarly sized walled/notepad combo for less?

Software recommendation filter: I want something like Notepad, but it's for writing in html, so it will colour-code the code part of what I'm writing. And I want spellcheck. And I want it to open and close really really fast, which is why I'm using Notepad and not OpenOffice or some html editor at the moment.

Is there any simple program for Max OS X for taking telephone notes? I'd just like something that with a keystroke opens as a phone note template -- Who Called, Date, Status pop-up (like "Spoke" "Returned No Answer" "Returned Busy", etc.), and a place for notes. I'd like to have the messages kept permanently and be searchable. Thanks

Plastic erasable notepad search:

Many years ago, I had an insert for my filofax that was a white card made of some kind of plastic, with spaces for contact details on one side. It could be written on with pencil and then erased, and it got grubby only very slowly. Filofax doesn't make this insert any more, and I would like to find (or make) something similar to keep with me as a permanent erasable notepad.

In fact, my fantasy is to get a few printed, with and without ruled lines, and also with various agenda/calendar formatting.

The plastic card was quite matt and very slightly scratchy to write on. Does anyone know how I might find this kind of plastic? What would it be called? Is there a product out there already? Does anyone already write and erase on something already that I could use as an alternative?

Weapon Notepad of choice. I'm looking for a new notepad replacement for Windows, something with a good looking and customizable GUI and can open fairly large files; syntax highlighting is optional. I've been using the freeware version of EditPad for the last few years as my daily scratch pad. What would you recommend? And on a tanget, what text pads do people on other platforms swear by?
