With Google Notebook no longer being actively developed, I am looking for something similar to run on one of my own servers. Anyone know of a similar app I can install to get a similar experience? [more inside]

Why does Google Notebook resize my pictures (and doesn't retain aspect ratio)? When I try to clip a picture by selecting (highlighting) it in a web page, and then I click "note this" then the picture is transferred to my Google Notebook. However, when I try to look at it in my notebook it has been resized and the aspect ratio is not retained. Even if I attempt to resize it within Google Notebook, it will snap back to its distorted version, usually in the same session or even within seconds. The picture I am trying to clip is 640x480, but it snaps to 245x480 in my notebook.

I have a complicated but probably stupid question about Google Notebook. When I do a search, and then click on "Note This", a little window opens up at the bottom of the window and shows me the result exactly how I want it. BUT when I go into Google Notebook, the links and the page titles are switched. [more inside]
