I have Tasker for my Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4 G (Samsung's Touchwiz'ed Jellybean 4.1.2, rooted), but I have never used it before. I would like to use it to play custom notification sounds for certain Google Hangouts, but I'm finding trouble finding tutorials that actually teach the basics I need to learn.

I am in Guelph, Ontario. My partner and I just bought a house, so I have a yard of my own for the first time ever. Point me to some resources for a gardening novice in this part of the world to dig into (no pun intended) over the cold months!

So...I'm thinking my Mac has a virus. I have a Mac OS X 10.5.8. I keep running out of hard drive space and deleting files constantly, so I got Disk Inventory X to see where my space is. Turns out there is 20 GB of 130,000 text files on my computer in a hidden file marked "private". I can't see this "private" folder from the file manager...only from Disk Inventory X. What do I do?

I just started playing World of Warcraft again after two years. In short: I'm a total noob again and I'm starting to tank heroic dungeons and it is... messy. Noxxic seems pretty good for basic gear/stat information, and the in-game Dungeon Guides are nice, but they're really terrible for reading on the fly and don't actually include popular strategies. Is there a good place where I can learn how to tank Cataclysm Heroics or am I fated to drag poor strangers along on my very painful learning curve? I don't love sifting through dozens of YouTube videos, but videos would be helpful.

I have a long (11 hour each way) drive coming up (NY to NC) next week. I am a pretty seasoned distance driver (many two-day TX to Toronto drives), but I am going by myself (with 2 dogs) and I need something to keep me sane and awake. I would love to have some This American Life or CarTalk or the like podcasts to listen to but...while I am nothing like a tech/net n00b, I confess that I don't really know how this podcast thing works to get past episodes. Please hope me!

What are the best resources for computer novices? I often find myself in the position of helping friends and family figure out how to operate their computers (typically Windows XP or Vista, but OS X tips are welcome too.) While I realize there's no substitute for face-to-face instruction, my time is not infinite and I'd like to be able to set them up with some bookmarks or documents that will give them guidance when I'm not around.

Why is text in Firefox so damn ugly and is there anything, from a design perspective, that I can do about it? (Okay, text in FF may not be ugly, exactly, but it doesn't compare to IE, Opera, or Safari.)
I'm making a website for a friend, and he's complained that in FF the text isn't 'pretty'. Since FF is all I use, it looks great to me - but damn if he isn't right that the copy looks sharper./smoother in other browsers.
Whassup with that?
