Cheap travel from Delaware to NYC?

What are the cheapest ways to get from Newark, Delaware, to New York City? I'm a research assistant at the University of Delaware and as part of a long and wonkish I-95 corridor project, we've decided to produce a map or informational pamphlet letting students know the cheapest ways to get from here (Newark, Delaware) to New York City.

A few things to keep in mind:
1. Any mode of transportation is fair game (air, rail, highway, seaports, etc.), as is any type of vehicle (plane, train, automobile, bus, shoes, etc.).
2. Be creative, but within reasonable limits of safety (i.e., no airmailing oneself).
3. It's alright if many of the suggested travel methods begin in Philadelphia (and maybe even Baltimore) if these departure points are more familiar to you.
4. Cost is the most important factor, although I don't want to discourage that outlandish teleportation idea you've been waiting to uncork.

After we've completed the map or pamphlet, I'll contact each of the contributors about mailing them a finished product. Thank you.

Looking for a good printable nyc subway map

I'm looking for a good printable map of nyc's subway system. NFT has lots of great maps, but not a big one that covers the whole system and can easily fit in my back pocket. Any suggestions?

Help me find prints/maps of each of the cities I've lived in!

I'd like to hang prints or drawings or funky maps of each city I've lived in on a wall. I'm wondering what your favorite Philadelphia, NYC, DC, Hartford CT, Rochester NY, and Chicago maps/prints are, or sources for finding eclectic drawings/photos/prints of each one. (The more varied, the better! Old, new, letterpressed...you name it!)

NYCFilter: What neighborhoods am I missing in my google earth mapping? I'm starting to make an NYC utimate KMZ super happy fun pack, which I will then post to the GE bbs and to MeFi Projects, but in the meantime I have to make it. Yesterday I was sick and off from work, so I mapped every single community district in the 5 boroughs down to street level (using this). I also added placemarks for every neighborhood that they and wiki had, and that I know, but I know I didn't get them all. Especially in Brooklyn. So now I'd like to probe the hive mind for what I missed. You can get my KMZ here. If your feeling adventurous you can email a KMZ of your adds to m4chfive AT yahoo.com, or just post what I missed or screwed up in this here thread.

As a side question, what would you like to see in this pack that GE doesn't currently provide? So far, I have complete subway and NJ Transit system maps, this map of neighborhoods and community districts, a map of where all the police precincts are, and local weather radar maps. What would you want to see?
