I just purchased a bunch of new clothing at Theory, which is definitely a much hipper store than I'm used to shopping at. (My old standby was Banana Republic.) The sales staff was very helpful, and I'm very pleased with what I came home with, but I'd love some help in mixing and matching everything. Photos of (almost) all of the items I bought can be found here

Seeking an NYC bar for a gathering of around eight people in their mid-to-late 30s. Requirements: quiet enough to talk; spacious enough that we can all congregate in one spot or will take reservations; in downtown Manhattan (roughly speaking); reasonably accessible by subway a big plus. Difficulty: event planned for a Saturday night, around 8 PM, and I don't expect everyone to show up at the same time (which makes reservations tricky). Thanks!
Spa with private hot tubs in NYC? Looking for an equivalent to Watercourse Way
in Palo Alto, CA, which rents out private rooms to individuals or small groups that feature hot tubs and showers.
Seeking suggestions for good stores in NYC to buy high-quality kitchen knives where you can test them out before purchasing. Even if they don't let you actually cut or chop anything, are there places that at least let you hold the knives in your hand, to get a sense of the grip/feel/weight, etc.? Thanks!
Looking for suggestions for places which sell reasonably-priced antique jewelry (or contemporary jewelry with a classic sensibility) in NYC. Stores with helpful, novice-friendly staff a big plus. Thanks.
Looking for an awesome, exfoliating scrub massage in NYC. Salt, sugar, whatever the medium—I'm interested in trying anything. Thanks for any suggestions!
Recommendations for good bachelor party "activity"-type places in NYC. Not looking for debauchery—right now, we're considering something like Brooklyn Bowl
. Thinking along those lines or pool/darts, that sort of thing, but also interested in other ideas. Manhattan or Brooklyn. [more inside]
Where to go for dinner next in NYC? I'm a lifelong New Yorker and love going out to eat. However, I feel like I'm in bit of a rut, mostly returning to neighborhood reliables and a handful of other favorite restaurants around the city. The wealth of information about NYC restaurants out there is pretty daunting, so I'm hoping for some direction from the hivemind. Some more details inside. [more inside]
NY Jets/NFL Network issue. The Jets play the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Nov. 17. The game will be broadcast by the NFL Network. My cable provider, Time Warner, does not carry the NFL Network. What are my options for watching the game? I am in Manhattan. Thanks.
NYC doctor filter: Looking for a new primary care physician (last one moved away). Preferences: Upper East Side office location; takes insurance. Beyond that, no particular needs. Can you recommend someone you like? Thanks.
NYC restaurant filter: Taking an elderly, out-of-town couple (that we don't know well) out to dinner. We'd like to take them somewhere reasonably nice (cost not a concern), but we do know that they prefer plainer foods that are easy on the digestive system. Manhattan required, midtown preferred. A little extra detail inside. [more inside]
NYC restaurant filter: I'm looking for a good brunch place near Penn Station. I'd prefer a place that either takes reservations, or tends to have minimals waits on Saturday mornings. Thanks!
NYC snow day! Where can I buy a sled on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and where are the best places to go sledding in Central Park? Thanks!
