I saw that Facebook has created an updated version of the News Feed (see it at
Facebook.com/newsfeed) that has larger pictures and less text. I really liked it, so I signed up for the waiting list. A month has passed and still no sign of the new design. Anyone know when the public release will be?

I need to do a rough and ready news analysis. I want to go to a specific news site and see the frequency of certain words and phrases before and after a certain date. Ideally, I'd be able to do this in a slightly more complex way, with combinations of words and phrases. I want to do this for free. Does such a tool exist?

What are the most famous online news sites that aren't online presences of older institutions? I'm talking 100% name recognition. Can be any type of news, but should be something that if mentioned in general conversation among people under 40 you don't have to explain what it is.

I'm gonna try to cut together a little political viral video and would love to get my hands on high quality video of the recent democratic debates. Does anyone know of a source on the net to download full resolution (720x480) quicktimes of the debates, or has anyone out there taped or tivo'ed the debates in the greater Los Angeles area who would let me either copy/borrow what you recorded? Thanks ahead of time for your help.

how or where does one sign up to receive UK press releases? Are there centralized sources or do the releasing parties pick who to send news to?

What online sites are good for news on the US. I currently read CNN, and look through GoogleNews. But where do other Mefites go online to find their news. Political commentary sites are very welcome. Please and thank you.
