Is there a website that works like a bookmarking service but will also allow screenshots of the page? Or how else can I work this out? [more inside]

I have tried to get on the RSS bandwagon. Really I did.
But it's just too much drama for me.
I read The Morning News (www.tmn.org) everyday, and love that someone I trust chooses stories for me -- it's edited, focused, smart, and clean.
Does anyone have other aggregators (or curators?) that are similar? (I'm trying Atlantic Wire with limited joy.)

Looking for examples of a newspaper and tv news sites that have a well-designed approach to integrating high volumes of content and nav. At any location, in any language, etc.

a few months ago someone I follow tweeted a link to a website that curates and displays only the latest news headlines and top stories. I found this thread (http://ask.metafilter.com/192456/A-better-newspaper
) on MF but the site is not listed there. This is a fairly new and probably still obscure site, but I loved the look of it and would like to find it again and seemed to have lost the bookmark. I cannot find it on google because the search terms are so generic.
This was an extremely CLEAN site, black on white (i believe) with attractive type, no (or very few/discreet) ads, and nothing fancy going on in terms of media or anything like that. Similar to "theweek.com
" in terms of content but nowhere near as busy visually.
any help would be appreciated.

What online sites are good for news on the US. I currently read CNN, and look through GoogleNews. But where do other Mefites go online to find their news. Political commentary sites are very welcome. Please and thank you.

Is there an open-source web app that's anything like Google News -- ie. groups news stories by similarity?
