I was hoping to be offered a writing job on the editorial side, but instead I'm going to be on the business/advertising side. What does this mean for me?

Move to New Jersey in the future (Princeton), I am looking for jobs but I have some specific interests. I know almost nothing about the area and what is based there. I am aware of its proximity to major cities but I would like to start with recommendations near Princeton and then outward. I really want to work in technology/creative groups.

Looking for specific suggestions of particularly innovative successful/popular US national-level grassroots right-wing civics activist groups (can be conservative, libertarian, religious, non-religious etc. etc; but not extremist) for an academic research project. We are especially interested in youth-focussed/web & new media-savvy/participatory culture savvy groups. Any research report (academic or non-academic) recommendations are most welcome too.

My company (a small LLC) is in talks with a large entertainment company (very large, you have heard of them) to develop an original property of ours (internet video series). After a few rounds of offers back and forth, we have come to realize that we should really have an agent -- this is above our head, especially the intellectual property ownership aspects of the negotiation. How do we find an agent that knows and understands new media/internet video, ideally in Manhattan? Will the fact that we're already in talks with a company (with actual money on the table) help us get someone? Thanks! (Email me at metafilterquestion@live.com if you have advice but want to stay private.)

I'm a senior web content producer (the chap who figures out what content should be on a website, and sometimes writes it) in London, but I'd love to be in New York (or any other major urban area in the United States).
Can you recommend any recruiters who specialise in this field and who might be able to help me? Bonus points for New York ones, as I'll be there in mid June.
