In 1934, could you travel by rail from New York City to Paterson, NJ? What route would you have taken, with which train-lines? If you could not have traveled by rail, would there have been a bus route?

I'm going to Fort Monmouth, NJ for a work trip next week. What is there to do around there on weeknights for a solo, late-twenties female? [more inside]

New Jersey-Filter: Two questions. First, can you recommend any great B&Bs in Monmouth County? Second, if you had the aim of introducing two close friends to summer in the Garden State, with the ulterior motive of disabusing them of anti-Jersey stereotypes, where would you take them and what would you do?

You're a non-rich post-grad in Atlantic City for a day or two. What would be a fun time?

I'm trying to plan a weekend in Wildwood, New Jersey next month for my boyfriend and I. I've never been there but I have a friend who is spending the summer there, and we're going down to visit her. She's given me the numbers of a few places to stay, and I've looked online and it seems like everything I come across are retro motel-type places. This is fine, but I wanted to know if there's any place out there that's better than the others, or if there's any specific place that I should definitely stay away from. I'm just looking for a place to stay that's comfortable, safe and clean.

I have 11 hours in Newark on the 6th. It's a layover, I have no contacts in the immediate area and although things are getting better
, I would like a nice diversion that is not in the airport or Newark itself. Suggs?
And yes, I'm looking at you amberglow.
