My mom is visiting in late June and wants to go hiking somewhere near Boston (no more than 2 hours by car). I was thinking Western Massachusetts might be nice but I'm open to other suggestions. Where is it fun to go hiking within a 2 hour drive from Boston? [more inside]

Where in New England should we go camping? We have a pop-up camper and are looking for decent hiking trails and maybe some area attractions. An alpine slide would be a big plus! I have a few Vermont ideas, (Killington, Gifford Woods, Bromley Mountain) and would like some feedback or new ideas. [more inside]
