After wasting two different off-days trying to get my damnable modem+router working, I want to return them both and get something entirely new. Any good recommendations for a solid, reliable DSL modem and wireless router set-up with decent NAS support?

I have a small netbook (Samsung NC10), running Windows XP, that I very much like for travel. But in some places, it doesn't connect to the internet over wifi. I've never tried to figure out why, or fix it: it's so far always been somewhere I could either skip being connected for a few days or plug directly into a router. But for an upcoming trip I'd like some help with a better plan and some tools and resources.

Hi,
I am trying to set up a surplus router as a NAS and torrent appliance, to integrate into an existing network. The setup will use two routers, one to provide network and internet to everyone, the other will use TomatoUSB and will be dedicated to torrenting.

My phone connects to my home wifi network but won't load webpages/get internet. How can I fix this? Also, can anyone confirm that this won't be a hardware issue? There's a short window in which I could possibly exchange the phone, but I'd rather not if it's not a flaw in the phone.

I'm Looking to do some fairly custom wireless setups in my area and I have no idea of a place that would supply everything I need for cheap. I live in Canada so this location needs to ship to Canada preferably located in Canada.
Basically I need:
-Really Low loss cable for wifi 802.11. (i have heard LMR-400 is good for 10foot lengths or so)
-RP-TNC connectors
-MC-card connectors
-N-male connectors
-N-female Chasis mounts
In total im hoping to result in about 4-6 cables.
I'm really hoping for a one stop shop but if i have to order from more than one place to get this cheaper thats fine too.

I'm having strange Wireless issues. I've tried two PCI cards (they were both LINKSYS WMP11 PCI Wireless-B Adapter) and a USB dongle (Netgear WG111T USB) in Windows XP and Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.
Any time I get to the point where the wireless connection is being made, the computer completely freezes. No keyboard or mouse response at all. I have to shut the computer's power off. Any suggestions?
