How can I quickly obtain a pre-1996 Netscape SEC filing?

How can I get a copy of Netscape's last prospectus prior to its Aug. 9, 1995, IPO, as quickly and cheaply as possible? The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission did not fully start posting online and backing up corporate filings until early/mid 1996. Netscape went public Aug. 9, 1995. I'd like to find the last amended prospectus it submitted to the SEC before its IPO. Assuming that, like most companies, the final prospectus was amended several times before the IPO, the document is probably Form S-1/A. (If it was not amended, it would just be Form S-1).

I'd like to read through this prospectus. I know it must exist somewhere, thanks to extensive Googling that has led me to a 2005 ebay auction of a paper version of the document, as well as many business school homework assignments in which students are asked to analyze the document. But I can't find the prospectus itself, even on SEC.gov, secinfo.com or hoovers.com, which are the best places I know to look.

The SEC has a public records request process, which I'll use if necessary. But I was hoping to incorporate information from Netscape's prospectus into a work I'll be completing Wednesday, and I don't expect the SEC to be able to work on my time line.

Help! Can you point me at for-pay websites, or public or university library systems accessible to residents of Portland, Ore., that I might be able to use to track down a copy of this document?

Netscape 7.2 Mail

My wife uses Netscape 7.2 Mail for all her email needs on her Windows XP box. When she clicks on a URL from within an email message, it launches the Netscape 7.2 browser to view the URL. How can we configure it to launch Firefox or Internet Explorer instead? I looked all over the Netscape 7.2 preferences and I couldn't find anything relevant. I've already set Internet Explorer to be the default browser on her system, yet clicking on a URL in an email inside Netscape 7.2 Mail still launches Netscape 7.2.

If it's not possible to open a different browser, what mail client would people recommend for someone switching from Netscape Mail?

ahhh, i hate my life

Difficulties with canceling Netscape Internet Service... I signed up for Netscape Internet Service for my uncle's kid using my credit card. They've since gotten DSL, and I've been trying to cancel the Netscape account, but, I've run into some difficulties. I've called customer service, and they were able to verify that I have an account open with them, but, they refuse to cancel the account without me first giving them the email address of the account in question, which I don't know. We have no idea what the email address for the Netscape account is. The computer Netscape was installed on was recently reformatted and no longer has the account information available. Customer service also adamantly refuses to tell me what the email address is, citing "security concerns", despite me being able to answer the "secret question", and knowing my credit card information :( So, how do I cancel my account? Help!

Also: A coworker suggested that I just dispute the charges with my credit card company. Would that actually work? I would prefer to be able to just cancel the account with Netscape outright...

Help me fix my boss's email forwarding problem!

Email forwarding problem within the domain: Trying to fix my boss's email account. He checks his email using Netscape 7.2 on a Win98 PC. (We can't convince him to upgrade). He can send mail and reply to mail fine. He can forward mail fine, except when it is to one of use within the same domain name. It appears to send successfully but never shows up. I've tried looking through the email headers but nothing sticks out and I don't relaly know what to look for. Was wondering if this situation rings a bell for anyone?

Why doesn't this page display properly in Netscape 7?

HTML/CSS helpfilter: This page displays properly in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari, but confounds Netscape 7.0. Why? [mi] This CSS Style Sheet controls the layout and displays a header and three columns. Netscape 7.0 (Win) only displays the header. Heck, even NS 4.8 displays the page more or less correctly. Although any NS 7 users should probably upgrade to a newer browser, what in the HTML or CSS prevents the 3 columns from displaying in NS 7?

Netscape 7.1 will not download anything. Can you help?

Netscape 7.1 has spontaneously decided not to download anything. [MI] I also can't right click and save images or open attachments in email. When downloading I get an error message saying the source file can not be read. When I try to open an attachment or save a picture it just doesn't do anything.

I'm running XP, it worked fine in the past and I can still download with IE. Any ideas?

(I can't believe they want ten bucks to answer this via email! Maybe I should just abandon Netscape altogether?)

Browser Problems

I asked the first part of this question, to much success, a while ago. I'm setting up a MeFi-type community for the queer community. I've tinkered with my style.css and index template until I came up with the right look. Then I load in Netscape... [more inside] The problem is that Netscape doesn't seem to recognize the DIV tags. It looks quite sloppy in the ol' standby browser, but in IE it's exactly what I've outputted using my CSS editor and
the adjustments made to the template file. I have no idea
how it loads in Mac, either. What could be happening here and what can an utter PHP/CSS novice like myself do to fix it?

(I'm linking to it not as a self-link intentionally but to open the actually guttyworks of the problem to the experts)
