Am I about to die?

I have a history of frequent ear infections, and am having one right now. When they happen, I get antibiotic drops for the ear(s) and Tylenol 3 for the pain as needed. Normally I don't have any adverse reactions. I used both last night with no reaction. This morning, I put in my ear drops and took some Tylenol 3, and then about an hour later I had a sudden onset of symptoms I have never experienced before. [more inside]

Help me focus away from nauseating thoughts

I ate something that is against my beliefs, for the first time in my entire life (due to a miscommunication). I feel very nauseated - my thoughts focus on my body and wanting to throw up (I tried but am unable to?). Can I refocus thought away from the thing inside me? Or you know any help for nausea that is just psychosomatic? I know I did not do this on purpose, it's that I can't escape my thoughts about the physical act of chewing and swallowing it and about the animal dying for it.

Ideas for handling liver fluke medication food requirement

I have a friend who has been diagnosed with liver flukes; the protocol for medication she is taking (twice per day) suggests that the medication is made optimal if accompanied by the ingestion of 40grams of fat. Yes, that's 40 grams of fat, twice per day, at two sittings. Having to ingest this much fat at one sitting is making her nauseous. She has tried various mixes of healthy vegetable fats mixed into salads but she's pretty miserable. She has a rather sensitive stomach; she also had her gallbladder removed some years ago. My Kidneys Hurt And I'm Freaking Out

Hey. I've had a kidney infection before, years ago. The Nightmare People Want to Keep You from Puking, Also Your Fingers

I am now in a round of chemotherapy for cancer, and I have been prescribed some really heavy duty medication for nausea. I can't take compazine because I am allergic to it. My prescription cocktail includes Emend, zofram, and marinol. Throw in some anti-coagulants, anti-depressants, and stomach acid calmer-downers, just for funsies. So, this past weekend on chemo, things were fine-ish nausea wise, but I had a series of nightmares that were so vivid and scary that I'm still feeling scared two days later. I need help articulating a question for my doctors that will help me to keep my stomach calm, while leveling my head as well. [more inside]

What do you feed a queasy stomach with pre-diabetes?

My doctor asked me to try the South Beach Diet to help my pre-diabetes. I'm about to take an antibiotic that makes most people queasy or worse, and I'm wondering what to eat if I start feeling bad. Normally, such as when I get the flu, I stick to the BRAT diet of bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. I can't eat any of those now without protein with them and only the whole grain versions of rice and toast. And when I'm nauseated things with flavor or fat like meat, stir fry, and salad are really unappealing. So South beach followers or diabetics/pre-diabetics -- what do you eat when you're feeling sick?

Is this abdominal pain something I need to go to the hospital for?

I'm experiencing abdominal pain, and would like a non-medical sounding board for how serious it sounds, and whether it's hospital worthy (given my almost non-existent lack of health insurance). You are not my doctor, etc., etc., but I'd like some non-medical advice about whether what I'm experiencing is something serious, or something that I can just push through. I think I have a low pain tolerance threshold, and I'm not good at gauging relative pain strength while in pain, so I'd like some perspective. I don't know which details are important, so I'm including them all. [more inside]
