Is there a reasonably priced (<$50) bluetooth headset for Android (HTC One) that can mute calls? I've done a healthy amount of research & I'm not sure why what seems like such an obvious feature is so curiously difficult to find.

Please recommend movies that view coherently with the sound off. The example that I offer is 'Cast Away,' which, even during the book-ends of its series of scenes that have dialogue, every last minute point of film's exposition is conveyed through blocking, apparent emotions, and, obviously, action. I feel like I am experiencing sleep paralysis--I know I want to wake up but I just can't move. I've had no shortage of difficult life challenges over the years. Leaving a drug-addled, abusive family behind, holding dying loved ones, quitting cigarettes, I've ended LTRs in the past (and had them ended by partners too). I am not an over-thinker or an indecisive person and this feels so weird. [more inside]

A child, is 3 1/2 years old, and has never spoken a word. Parents (very, very born again Christians) finally decide, maybe they should take him to a doctor to get checked out or something.
This is my grandson.
MeFites, potential jury pool, what is going on with this beautiful young boy?
And how do I quell the urge to knock my daughter and son-in-law's heads together like Larry and Shemp?
Go look up pissed-off in the dictionary, I'll wave back. [more inside]

I am trying to find this 1980s-1990s serial killer movie about a mute girl (from what I can remember always wear black clothes) and that on one of the scenes, a chopped body of a person was shown from a trash bag or something. Anyone known the title of the movie? I watched around early 1990s.

What are some physiological causes for Mutism/Aphonia? I'm looking for reasons that are organic in origin (so no 'selective mutism' or other related disorders). I'm also looking for reasons that aren't comorbid with another condition, such as Autism, Deafness, etc. [more inside]

I can't get my Mac laptop's internal speakers to work -- they just stopped one day. When I press the volume adjust buttons, the little bars don't move, and the classic circle-with-bar-through-it appears. I've checked the volume in System Preferences, and the "mute" button is not selected by accident.

Tell me/help me find some jokes about/involving not being able to speak. One of my coworkers has a throat... thing, that is keeping her from speaking today(bare whisper if she must), and possibly will last until tomorrow. I'd love to brighten her day with some jokes, and you can help. [more inside]

Hey, youse Jazzholes:
I'm in need of some cool jazz (not 'lite' jazz or muzak) with a muted trumpet
; brushes on the snare are optional but nice. Something that feels Kind of Blue
, maybe a sultry Near Myth
(with a horn instead of Bill Smith.) What's cool and new with jazz anyway? Sure, I love the Bad Plus, but I keep going back to the old stuff...
