It seems 4/4 is the universal time signature for electronic music / techno / EDM. Is there a song or artist that uses any other time signature in a consistent way? As in not just a bridge or for special effect.

What's the origin of
this sample from Sweet Nothing? Is it original to the song? I swear it sounds so much like something from the soundtrack of Hotline Miami. Is there a name for this type of beat/sound?

Why hasn't contemporary pop music without vocals become mainstream top 40 in the US? Or, more specifically why do only the "Techno/electronic" songs with singers get on mainstream radio in the US?

I'm looking for songs similar to
James Brown Is Dead. I don't know a lot about techno but I stumbled on this one last year and it's the best all time workout song for me. I have it at the start and finish of my workout. I'd really like to find other songs with a similar beat and feel to them that I could purchase online.

I recently rediscovered the song "
Man, It's So Loud In Here" by They Might Be Giants, and the delicious juxtaposition of the New Order/Pet Shop Boys pastiche of the music and the sardonic treatment of club culture in the lyrics leads me to my question:
What are some other songs that sound like typical dance music but which have lyrics that are critical of dance music or club culture in general?

Sometime during the 90's, there was a proto-techno group which I just can't identify. I remember a specific music video in which a large, comically dressed rabbit broke into a laboratory for some illicit purpose. The only thing I know about this group is that the singer is a heavyset black woman, and they sound kind of like Real McCoy or ATB. What is the name of the band?

TechnoFilter: My friend once gave me a mix-tape made in the late 80s or early 90s that included this song. It samples Margaret Thatcher talking about "monopoly money", "modern warfare", etc. She doesn't remember who the song is by or what it's called, but was kind enough to record an MP3, which I doubt anyone will care about me posting:
