i have a 12,000 track itunes music library in os x. some of the tracks (~10%) have album art with them, but most do not. all tracks are tagged properly, and in theory should all have album art with them. i've tried itunes built in fetcher and many third party programs for adding album art. i can't recall names of programs, but most were very poor and would crash or not work at all. i would like to fetch art all together, because i don't want to go through 12,000 songs track-by-track. any ideas?

I'm burning a CD of a playlist in iTunes and am having trouble getting the levels to match. Even though I use the iTunes "Sound Check" setting (which supposedly evens out levels), when I play my burned CD back, the levels are all over the place.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a Mac OS X program that could help me out?

I bought a CD that plays as a CD in my car, but when I put it in my mac it plays as a DVD, because it has some video too. I would like it to read as a CD, so it opens in itunes and I can copy it there. Surely this is possible?

On the PC, I used Easy CD Creator 5 to create CD mixes. I loved the ability to create custom transitions between tracks: cross-fades, fade-ins, gaps, etc. What is the best CD mix-making software for Macintosh? (iTunes is sadly lacking in these sorts of features.) A downloadable shareware app would be great, but I'm willing to consider something like Toast, even though it costs $80. (Is Toast a good product? Will it let me do cross-fades? The reviews make me wary.) I suppose the best option would be some sort of iTunes add-on to let me do cross-fades, etc. Does such a beast exist?

I am trying to play music from my remote computer on my terminal server. Here is my setup. I have iTunes installed on my TS as well as a USB device that transmits the music to my stereo. What I would like to be able to do is login from my laptop via terminal server and start iTunes, getting the sound to come out on the terminal server which in turn will play on my stereo, all without having to go to my main computer. However, when I hit play on iTunes via the terminal server client nothing begins to play.Does this need clarification? Any ideas?

iTunes question: I am currently using old musicmatch to hold my music collection & playlists and synch with my iPod (I have an gen2.) If I load iTunes, I have some questions:
1. Can I still burn CD's from my music collection once iTunes is loaded?
2. If I download a tune from iTunes, can I burn that to a CD or just transfer it to my iPod?
3. Does it encode my music collection so I can't remove it from iTunes if I want to quit using it? (encrypt all my already existing music so I can't burn it/copy to cd, etc.)
4. Is there a way to transfer my playlists to iTunes from Musicmatch?

In iTunes, why do songs I uncheck not play during shuffled playback? I just want to uncheck songs I don't want on the iPod and let 'em play normally in the library. What to do about the compilations? I've recently started using iTunes for my mp3-listening activities, and finally have a use for metadata tags other than Artist/Song/Album (dynamic playlists make my socks roll up and down, up and down). Currently I have a 15 GB third generation ipod. Unfortunately it has come very close to filling up. In addition I started a new job which has a 60 minute commute each way. I decided to reward myself by purchasing a new cd each week (either in the store or through iTunes). So the question is: would I be better to purchase a second iPod for all this new music I am going to be purchasing or would it be better for me to just keep the mp3 files on the computer and only transfer the ones I really need to the ipod?

Stupid iTunes question(s). I must have cleared some MP3 files off the machine manually (ie: in the Finder) but they persist in my iTunes "Library," which I infer is some kind of application-internal database. The songs I no longer have show up with an exclamation point [60K screenshot] but I can't sort on that column, so I'm looking for some way to just remove them all from my library. Conversely, I dropped some folders full of MP3s into my "iTunes Music" folder, where all the others are, and I can't get them to show up in the Library. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
