Here is an example... My Boss: "We want to use the Can Can song. Our music guy has done a recording for us. Is it in the Public Domain?" Me: "Yes. The composer, J. Offenbach, has been deceased since 1880 and if we are doing our own arrangement we are fine." My Bosses Boss: "About 5 years ago, I tried to clear this song for use in a TV production and discovered that it was NOT in the Public Domain. I just received a check from Pump Audio. I submitted my music to them a while back and, apparently, one of my tracks was used in a TV show. Woo-hoo! However, I can't find any information on the show it was used in.
The information on the statement is as follows:
Usage Description: Yearbook Episode 1998
Air Date: 6/11/2006
Ntwk/Pro: ABC
I've Googled, to no avail. I can't even find any reference to a show of that name.
Anyone have information or a suggestion of how where to look?
Or, super-extra bonus points if you know how I can get a copy of it!

Name that tune please :: PBS is great, and the songs in their promos are actually just as good. Currently running is a promo that ends with the words; "Be More ~ ThirteenHD" (this is PBS Thirteen's High-Def channel which they broadcast in NYC & possibly elsewhere?). The music which accompanies it is a piece that I'd classify as sort of a Blues/Rock/Jazz instrumental.
My Question: Name that tune!?!

Does anyone remember the PBS series "On Tour?" It was on late Saturday nights when I was in high school, and I remember it being sponsored by IBM. Each 60-minute program was composed entirely of different rock bands doing live performances (usually at very large venues). It was usually one or two songs per band. There was an occasional interview with a roadie, but otherwise it was all music. The show's page has been "retired" from PBS.org. Did these shows ever get put on VHS or DVD?
