Video suggestions for a classical music obsessed 12 year old w/ austim?

My nephew is a musical genius- perfect pitch, memorized discography of most prominent classical composers, and he plays clarinet and piano (also almost any instrument he picks up.) He has autism and has been preoccupied with the Baby Einstein (and language and Beethoven) series since he was very, very young (a baby). I think one of the reasons he still holds onto it and will watch it over and over is because it's visually and musically interesting with out having a plot that his attention cannot hold onto or is too difficult to grasp emotionally. Anyone have recommendations for music/band films that would be appropriate for a 12 year old that is visually interesting with out a plot? He has watched almost every Disney and classic musical out there, but I wonder if there is something like the BE series, but more mature. Thanks!

Looking for quality Japanese songs that will improve my Japanese.

I'm looking for good Japanese songs or artists that will teach me new, useful words or phrases so that I can improve. I read articles in Japanese too, but words seem to 'stick' better when I am listening to a song and going over the kanji and hiragana at the same time. Details inside. [more inside]

Can I correct track information in iTunes match without downloading

Classical music recommendations for a listener of free jazz?

I listen to a very wide variety of music, but one giant gap in my knowledge is classical music. I'm looking for recommendations for classical music to check out (either specific albums, works, or composers). To narrow it down a bit, how about something from any era that would be of interest to someone with an appreciation for avant-garde/free jazz from the 60s (think Coleman, later Coltrane, Shepp, Taylor... heck, even Brotzmann)? And preferably music that's available on streaming services.

Do it again...identify a song, that is

Hi AskMe, I come to you with another song identification question. Genre: pop/rock/EDM. Vocalist: sounded like Calvin Harris to me. Key lyric: "do it again" repeated as part of some "yes I will/no I won't do it again" (can't remember which) phrasing. Seemed to get a lot of airplay around spring of this year but I haven't heard it since. Little help?

Readings on Form and Content

I am writing a piece about the melding of form and content within a certain musician's body of work. (I'd rather not give this artist's name.) I am looking for texts which deal with concepts of form and content in any genre. Long Form Music Journalism

Link me to riveting, long form music journalism online! I want to read case histories of musicians with troubled lives, like these articles about Elliot Smith and Ben Todd. Or maybe a peek at a subculture I barely knew existed, like Kid Rock's Cruise or Nathan Rabin's many recaps of The Gathering. Late 80s indie song ID

I've been searching for various songs I used to have on tape from UK Radio 1's John Peel show in the late 80s (roughly 87-90). One in particular is proving a bit tricky. What's this Greek song?

Asking for my ukulele teacher: This is, apparently, the favorite song of a Greek lady living in a nursing home he works with. He'd like to sing the whole song with her, but does not know the name, lyrics or even the whole melody, apart from a few parts that she sang for him (and the melody might not be 100% accurate). Here's an approximation on soundcloud. Apparently, the song is about riding the train and/or the bus. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks!
