In 1999, I rode the Rockin' Roller Coaster at Disney in Orlando. The first thing they tell you on the ride is to keep your head back. I'm a certified idiot, and didn't pay attention, and on the first looping curve, my head was forward. A sudden jerk to the right, and I pull a muscle in my neck.

Exercise n00b here. For strength training, is it better to A) work the muscle to exhaustion, or B) work the muscle for a long time? (I have asked my physical therapists and received conflicting answers, hence this question.)

I was kicked by a horse on my thigh Saturday evening. It appears to be a deep muscle bruise and is still fairly tightly swollen. It is much less painful than it was yesterday and I can walk on it. After googling it, I am concerned about complications. Should I go to a doctor after this much time has elapsed?

I ache all over, and have post nasal drip with a bit of ear congestion. I also feel hot when I touch my face and neck but I do not register a fever. I woke up like this today, and I currently feel TURRIBLE with the body aches. Feels like the flu, but shouldn't be because I had that in February. Is this an allergic reaction?

When I shrug my shoulders or stretch my arms above my head after not moving around for a while I can feel/hear the muscles kind of schlicking apart as though the different muscles were kind of sticking together (no pain). This doesn't happen with any other muscles though. Anyone else get this?

I wake up in the morning at 6am and walk 2km (1.2 miles) to the gym and back five days a week. My workouts last 45 minutes and are aimed at sculpting, working on a body part per day (back, shoulders, chest, arms and legs). I weigh 100kg (220 pounds) and am 180cm (5.9 feet). I want to weigh 85kg (185 pounds). What and when should I eat to loose weight and gain maximum muscle mass? and how long should it take for me to loose this weight?

blood cancer and
fibromyalgia, but this is way beyond the scope of these diseases. (I am immunologically compromised)

What's the best way for me to gain a bit of muscle, without losing my six-pack? I'm skinny and would like to fill out a little bit. I keep getting advice that I have to eat a lot in addition to working out. The next part is silly, but please bear with me: I like having a six-pack. What are your personal experiences with going from skinny to athletic while trying to keep your ab definition? I'm a guy.
