A family member who has recently been diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS is interested in Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy at a specific clinic in Moscow. Can you advise me about whether this is a good idea? [more inside]
Hello all, I can't find this answer anywhere (without directly asking my insurance company). My wife has multiple sclerosis, and without insurance her medication costs $6k per month. On our current plan I play $30 for a 3 month supply via the specialty pharmacy home delivery. We are losing this coverage at the end of August, but have a delivery in progress and will receive the next 6 months worth before we lose coverage. Is there some way they can charge me for the medication already received if I lose coverage for the following months? [more inside]
This is for a company that is wanting to migrate from on-premise Sharepoint to Sharepoint Online. There's obvious benefits of cost savings to do things in-house, i.e. use IT staff who knows about MS Sharepoint to do it themselves, gain knowledge from the experience. But, what if said IT staff and colleagues are time poor and don't hold any Sharepoint certifications (despite being intelligent generalists) and don't want to take on this type of responsibility? What if this company is quasi-government and has a global footprint? (risk averse) What compelling case can we make to suggest hiring external consultants to do the job for them? [more inside]
A family member has been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. He has an appointment to see a second consultant for confirmation of the diagnosis, and wants to use this as an opportunity to find out as much helpful information as possible. We understand that there is currently no effective treatment for Primary Progressive MS. What should he ask the consultant in order to get the most out of this appointment? We are in the UK. Many thanks.
Friend has multiple sclerosis (MS), recently a lot worse. She's deciding between treatments: Lemtrada, or a hematopoietic stem cell transplant at the Clinica Ruiz in Mexico (since it's incredibly expensive and doing it abroad is 1/3 the cost of getting it done in the US). Anybody have research, info, or personal experience with these treatments or this clinic? Do you know any really good MS support/info groups?
Asking for my friend. My 42 year old friend was just diagnosed with very early stage MS. She wants a second opinion. How do you go about finding somebody? Original diagnosis at Cleveland MS Clinic. Willing to travel to MD, DC, PA, or about 6 hours from Cleveland. Ignore insurance issues. TIA!

I need help diagnosing my condition! I’m going through some extreme (for me) health issues that are undiagnosed for around 5 years. My Doctor wants me back on MS modifying medications. To avoid going back on the self-injecting MS medications I am trying the new pill forms. I'm putting together an Access database (woe is me), which includes some "multiple choice" fields, that contain a defined list of options. I will try to keep this short....My wife (37yo) was diagnosed w/ MS in 2007. Since that time she really hasn't had any really bad symptoms or issues. Well it has now reared its ugly head and she has major fatigue, legs hurting really bad, and she is very scared. She went to her nuero and he said she has now more lesions and a "black hole", and that he was going to do his best to keep her out of a wheelchair or off of a cane. My question is about disability. At her current job she has no short or long term disability. So what are her options? Her doctor asked if she could go part time, however as a family of 4 we couldn't afford that. We are just looking at options, so any guidance or answers would be extremely helpful. Also, we live in Texas if that helps any.
Ok, I have an application that is using a back end of MS Access...I have another application that needs to get some of the data in the Access db but it is only SQL compatible. So...how do I set up an ODBC connection that will pull data from the Access db and write it out to a SQL db? This data needs to be updated hourly... Thanks for your assistance!
