Help me find a book from my youth.

Obscure book filter (and I mean really obscure)! Here are the few items that I remember about it:

- I read it while going to a Belgian grade school, it is a children's book.

- I read the book in French, not sure if it was originally in French or was a translation.

- I cant remember what grade I was in but I read it sometime in between 1990 and 1993.

- The protagonist was a young boy, it was some sort of police thriller. At one point a tracking device was put in his shoe that allowed his protectors to find and save him.

- I believe the antagonist was named "Mr Palis" I remember that he met his demise falling out a window onto a palisade which I remember thinking was a ridiculous play on words.

- Part of this final show down took place in a school chemistry lab and someone flung acid or something at someone else.

That's all I've got. I know its not much to go on but if anyone can figure out what book I'm thinking about you'll earn lots of "cool" points!

Help me find this logo... Earth, or a stylized globe, clutched in a fist... think SPECTRE, SMERSH, or KAOS, but it's not any of those... Where have I seen this? Subgenius art? Anyone?

I've heard amazing things about the Mr. Bento lunch jar, and I really really want one. I have heard that there are places in or near Vancouver BC that sell them, but my inquiries have turned up empty. Does anyone on MeFi know of such a place, or will I have to get one shipped from elsewhere?

I'm HUNGRY.

Lunch-box-rescue-filter! Help me find a Mr. Bento lunch box (or similar multi-compartmented box) in London, UK. I really want a Mr. Bento lunchbox after seeing those cool lunch pictures from this flickR group. Amazon won't ship it to the UK, the official Zojirushi website is useless, and e-bay has crazy quotes which seem to be more than the item's normal price. Anyone know of a website or a store that sell this product?

Alternatively, does anyone know where I could find a similar product in London (my only criteria is that I want at least 3 containers, not two)?
