How do Drop.io , Tumblr, and other services have a phone number that you can call in and it records a MP3 of the conversation?
I want to add features like that to a site and I'm working on in my spare time and I have no idea how to even start.

Asking for my friend, here's his dilema....
"Of course this happens THE DAY I leave for vacation. All of the music files on my iPod Touch have "disappeared." I say that in quotes because the "Other" file section is suddenly the same size as the music section was last night. Here's a
screenshot:"

So I recently came to the end of correcting all the ID3 tags on my massive music collection. The last 14 or so took me more time than I'm willing to admit to track down information on. But I knew at the end which two would remain.
I've had these two songs in my collection for at least a decade now, and every time I've tried to find any information on the song titles, artist, or even lyrics, I've turned up nothing. I've tried all kinds of tricks I know for finding even the most obscure information on the internet, but still nothing. As a firm believer that anything which exists can be found on the internet, I find myself troubled that these songs, which clearly exist, apparently do not.
Help me out, and try to cure my madness?

I'm looking for a premium podcasting service. Here is what I need. I need to be able to upload MP3 files to a server which will allow me to manage about 20 different private URL podcasts for a small internship's classes. Ideally this service would have simple embed HTML code so we can add a player to web pages. Each private podcast will have 16-20 hours of content.

I'm not sure if it was ever linked on Metafilter, but I remember running across a web site where bands could set up online streaming and downloading of their music, with multiple audio formats and multiple pricing options. There were also various visualizers built into the music players. Hive mind, who can help me track down the URL I've lost? It was a relatively recent find in my travels on the internets—possibly late 2008.

Is it possible to edit the iTunes "Date Added" field?
I am trying to relocate all of the music in my iTunes library from one computer to another and
have had no luck keeping the "date added" field in tact. I am willing to manually edit the date added field for every album to match my old database. Is there an easier way to do this other than to constantly reset my system clock? I have over 1100 albums!
