Un-distorting a "jewish" sound clip.

I need help un-disorted a sound clip. There is a sound in Civilization 4 that plays whenever you discover Judaism. I could not place it--and I know my Jewish prayers--so I dug in the install folder and found the full file. It is heavily distorted in a way I cannot quite figure out. Could someone help me see if this was ever a prayer to begin with, or was just random vocalizations approved as being "Jewish enough" in order to avoid offending people with actual prayers? I'm looking for an MP3 player that you can treat like a USB drive. With recording capabilites.

I'm looking for an MP3 player that you can treat like a USB drive. In other words, I want to load MP3s onto it by just plugging the device into my machine and the copying files over. I do not want to use a specialized program like Itunes, and I want to use a standard USB or Firewire cable to plug the device into my computer. [more inside]

Longest Sound File?

What is the duration of the longest digital (or digitized) sound recording? What is it of? And where can it be listened to? I'm not interested in midi, only natural recorded sound. Is there a theoretical limit to a digital sound recording? Tape can go on forever, but filesystems and drive space would have to eventually limit the size of the file (or do I have that wrong?). Just curious. I'll take my answer off the air.

Winamp lowers the volume after every song.

Winamp lowers the volume after every song. So, I'm constantly turning it all the way back up. How do I get it to stop that? They may be trying to save my ears, but my headphones are dying and I have a slight hearing problem. I listen to a song, and the next one is suddenly just a whisper. So frustrating.
