My husband and I will be leaving our current town in about a year and a half, and we’re starting to think about where we might like to go next. We have several requirements (explained inside), and I’ll probably be posting questions about this more than once! We are thinking about taking a couple of weeks to explore some cities in California this spring or summer, and I’m hoping some of you can suggest some California towns that might be a good fit for us so we can start planning the exploratory trip.

Say I might want to leave America. (Maybe on November 6, 2012! Somewhat joking about that, so don't get too distracted.) Where would I want to live? It's Mexico, right? But where? And also, am I being crazy in not thinking more of Europe?

What's the most high-felutant town or city in New Hampshire? I need to find a affluent area in NH which is wealthy, family orientated, lively and culturally rich...where a life-long New Yorker would find absolutely blissful for he, his wife and toddler.

I live in Madison WI and am looking to move to a larger city, under the impression that being in a larger city will provide me with more exposure and greater opportunities. I was thinking of moving to the outskirts of Chicago because it's close to my family in Madison and I love it there. I also miss Denver CO where I was born, but am unsure what kind of an art community it has. Does anyone know what cities are best for making a living as an artist? I have a degree in illustration but am also trying to get into gallery shows as well if that helps. Thank you very much for any advice.

Where should I move? I'm finishing up grad school and searching for my first job. My intention has been (and is still) to settle in the Seattle area, but I'm curious about alternate suggestions, because it's good to have a Plan B.

I once came across a website that recommends equivalent neighborhoods across cities. For example, if you asked for the San Francisco equivalent of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, it might recommend the Castro. Could someone point me to this website?

I have had eczema all my life, but it has never been as bad as when I’ve lived in Boston, where I live now. I’m appealing to a small subgroup of people on this site, but I’m hoping I can appeal to people with sensitive skin and eczema who live in some of the places where I’m considering moving
