I'm looking for sequences like the
opening credits of Delicatessen where the camera flies through a collection of objects to focus on specific tidbits of information. I'd like to see anything done in this style, not just credits sequences. Thank you!

What movie has this scene? A guy loosely holds a handkerchief/piece of paper out a car window and talks about how he likes to see how loose he can hold on to something important without losing it.

Here's the plot: what's the movie(s)? Character figures his/her life sucks but can not bring themselves to commit suicide, so they hire a hitman to do the job. Character finds out life is, in fact, worth living (typically falls in love) and tries to call off the hit but can't because the wheels are turning.

I am trying to find a South American or Latin American film that we watched when I was in college in the 80s. It was described by the professor as being an example of "magic realism" in film. The scene I remember was of an orchard with trees in bloom and the flowers all turned into butterflies. It was NOT an animated film. Any help greatly appreciated!

Help me remember this movie: a stereotypical 80's comedy/horror that takes place during a party in a large house. One of the rooms has a giant swimming pool where couples keep sneaking away for some privacy. There's a monster at the bottom of the pool that can use the heads of previous victims to talk to and entrap new victims. I distinctly remember the pool being warm and somewhat dirty but each successive visitor just couldn't resist.

Name-That-Movie-Filter: I saw a movie about ten years ago that had a lot of snow. And a card game where someone may have put his wife and/or child up as collateral. And a mining town, likely in the Eastern Sierra; for some reason, I associate the movie with the approximate location of the folk song "Darcy Farrow". There may have been a plot point that the guy who lost his [daughter/wife] tries to marry the child, later, or maybe his enemy does. Help?

Another lost movie question, but this time I know the title ... or thought I did. I'm looking for "They Swarm", a film about a swarm of huge beetles approaching a northern US island under the watch of an inexperienced young sheriff. Nothing comes up on IMDB or the internet for that title. It's not "The Swarm", the 1978 film about killer bees.

Help me Identify a movie based on a fragment of it.
A mobster (somewhere in USA like NYC maybe) is in his home with his wife, and is lamenting to her that he must soon go do something or confront some people that he doesn't want to. And she says something like "you're the king of the castle, and I stick by you" or something to that affect. And that sometimes he'll have to do some things that aren't fun, but he will still have to do them.
This is a mobster movie probably from 90's or 2000's. Thanks a lot!

Help me remember/identify a movie, based on a very small fragment. All I remember is a scene where one of the characters gets so angry at somebody he is talking to on the phone that he starts running and I think the next scene he arrives at where the (I think) tele markets is at and beats the crap out him/her.

I am trying to find the name of a movie I watched on TV when I was a young kid back in the 1970s. The film was about a group of people lost in a forest after a blizzard. At one point they find a car and start shouting, "It's the professor!" But when they get to the car the people inside it are frozen to death. I'm pretty sure it was a film for adults that was being broadcast on TV or it could have been made for TV.

Movie title filter. I need help remembering a title. In the movie, there's a scene where a group of people moved a grand piano over difficult terrain. Possibly a combination of forest (or jungle) and mountain. It might have been South America or Africa. There might have been missionaries, or a church, in the story, but I'm not sure. There might have been a building made of glass in the jungle, but I may be confusing that with another movie.

Somewhat older movie, small/tiny/little people who at one point attack a woman in her car; also featured people who "travel through" the bodies of other people. Possibly 80s, maybe 90s, possibly with Meg Ryan-like actress.

I get the feeling there's a lot of movies that feature an ordinary, plucky, independent single-mom, and her son, and the male hero who enters their life and serves as a father figure of sorts for the son (Terminator 2, Witness, The Day the Earth Stood Still). Are there gender-reversed examples of this, ie, single-father + daughter + heroine? And I'm thinking more of action/adventure type stuff, and not straight dramas.

I saw a trailer for a movie, in about 2007-2008(?), that seemed to be shot to look like a 1970s education film/horror movie, and in the trailer it featured men and women running around an abandoned middle school as paranormal events happened, specifically file cabinets and envelopes moving around by themselves... I thought the movie was called "End of the Season" but I can't find any info on it. Can anyone help?
