Movie - This kid creates a force shield bubble using his computer and he and his friends go into space with it. At one point I remember him putting the bubble around one of the friends and tunneling him into the ground.
Anybody remember this one. It's been driving me crazy for months.

I have the vaguest of memories of a TV movie I may have seen around the mid-80s, possibly on public television. Could have been British, or at least set in the UK. It was somewhat creepy, at least it was to young me at the time. It was about a family wherein one of the boys had magic powers. My only real memory is a shot of this boy putting his hands into a kitchen counter as if the kitchen counter were soft clay or a portal to another dimension, drawing some material out of it, and making a little sculpture of an animal (lion?) Young me found that special effect surprisingly unnerving. I thought it might be a WonderWorks
production but none of the titles seem to match. Ring any bells for anyone?

HiveMind, I need your help in figuring out a name of an actress. All I have is a vague memory of her, but I don't have enough evidence to search properly. Here's some of the gut feelings:
1) Female, in her 20s (at the time)
2) Movies took place in the early 1990s, possibly though 2000
3) I think she's a red-head, but possibly a brunette
4) Usually has a bitchy demeanor, possibly a villian... but a minor villian, like a sidekick
5) Has a large amount of sex appeal
6) Tight facial features, especially around the eyes and cheeks.
More poor attempts to describe her after the cut. [more inside]

What movie or TV show was this? This has been nagging at me for years!
Around 1978 or 1979, when I was 7 or 8 years old, I remember seeing a creepy teaser on TV for an upcoming movie, or episode of something, in which a man wearing dark glasses is speaking to someone off-screen. He says something like, "Don't go in there, kid, unless you want to end up ... like this!
" And then he removes the dark glasses, and instead of eyes he has two things that look like raised, white ridges with horizontal slits cut into them. Something like Inuit snow goggles
, but set into the eyes instead of connected in the middle.
I never saw the show and this is literally all I remember about it. A friend of mine thinks it might be The Omega Man
, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

What is the large red sculpture in LA? I was watching Ruthless People
and noticed the final ransom drop took place in front of a large metal sculpture. To my mind, this sculpture looks like the Flamingo sculpture in Chicago. The scene can't have been filmed in Chicago, so what's the name of this similar sculpture in LA?

Can you name any songs or movies which feature palindromic structures? In terms of music, I don't mean notes or lyrics, but the sections, eg, CVCBCVC. Movie patterns would be more loose, but one could be settings, eg, starts out in a house, then a car, then a plane, etc, ends in a car, then a house. Another pattern could be the entrance/exit of characters. [more inside]

So, there's this movie. It involves a beautiful double-amputee woman and a man, and I think they're in love. I believe there's a prisoner dynamic. Pretty sure it was a mindfuck scenario, very bizarre, and possibly directed by the daughter of a big name. Any ideas?
