Showtimes a few days before?

Movie theaters seem to only post show times on their websites for Friday-Thursday on Friday which makes it difficult to make advance plans for Friday night. Is there some other website/service that posts the times earlier? (I vaguely remember finding some site that did that, but I can't find it now). Also, why do theaters do things this way? Is there a Japanese equivalent of Terminator Salvation?

So, you know how Hollywood sometimes makes big stupid films that flop at home (at times not making enough money), but then they release the films abroad and they do well (enough to make more money and sometimes merit a sequel!)? Does the reverse happen as well? Are their foreign films that do well in the US (and I'll include critical success as much as popularity -- and popularity among people who go see foreign films), but in their home countries, they are considered silly or stupid or just not good?

It's a funny, dirty little job!

Do insurance investigators like Rene Russo/Faye Dunaway in The Thomas Crown Affair or Timothy Hutton on the Leverage show really exist in real life? I'm talking about people investigating high end theft as opposed to investigators working on medical fraud or arson. In the news, you really only see insurance investigators dealing with these smaller cases, with the police and FBI (and Interpol, I guess) working on big heists.
