What movie or TV show was this? This has been nagging at me for years!
Around 1978 or 1979, when I was 7 or 8 years old, I remember seeing a creepy teaser on TV for an upcoming movie, or episode of something, in which a man wearing dark glasses is speaking to someone off-screen. He says something like, "Don't go in there, kid, unless you want to end up ... like this!
" And then he removes the dark glasses, and instead of eyes he has two things that look like raised, white ridges with horizontal slits cut into them. Something like Inuit snow goggles
, but set into the eyes instead of connected in the middle.
I never saw the show and this is literally all I remember about it. A friend of mine thinks it might be The Omega Man
, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Please help me figure out the titles of two movies that freaked me out as a child, one involving a space expedition and one involving a mummy. [more inside]

I'm trying to track down something I remembered watching on television a long time ago.
The only thing I can really remember is the climax of the story, which I vaguely recall was about these parents or caretakers (babysitters, perhaps) telling two young children about some kind of bogeyman.
At the end, a giant arm reaches through the front door and grabs them while the children watch.
I have a feeling it could have been an episode of an Outer Limits type show, or maybe a Trilogy of Terror type thing.

Name the scary movie I can't remember. In one scene tarantulas crawl all over a bed and floor of a bedroom (I think it was a child's). I want to say that the plot may have involved a man who could bring about people's worst fears, but he may have been the devil. [more inside]

Frightening flicks involving feminine fears? (This is a good question for gender studies, psych, and cinema studies majors!) [more inside]

Haunted by a movie.
About ten years ago I was in France and I saw a chilling suspense movie on late-night TV. I'm not sure that it was French - maybe Dutch or German, with subtitles? I remember little: the music-box/bells theme, the murderer's slow grace, and a scene where the detective fills a room with steam to recover a victim's traced final message. A little more (and a spoiler) inside. [more inside]
