Looking for some Mystery/Suspense/Thriller movie suggestions [more inside]
Looking for a movie I saw on TV in the 80s that was about a sad clown/mime who left his circus and was wandering around the city - a foreign city, probably Europe. It is NOT Children of Paradise, but maybe some remake inspired by it. I believe it was a foreign film and was probably shown on Nickelodeon - it was a color film. Very atmospheric and followed the clown wandering in the city. Any ideas?
What are some recent (last ten year or so) Korean film that's worth watching? [more inside]
So, you know how Hollywood sometimes makes big stupid films that flop at home (at times not making enough money), but then they release the films abroad and they do well (enough to make more money and sometimes merit a sequel!)? Does the reverse happen as well? Are their foreign films that do well in the US (and I'll include critical success as much as popularity -- and popularity among people who go see foreign films), but in their home countries, they are considered silly or stupid or just not good?
Help me remember the name of this eastern European band [more inside]
Help me remember the name of a movie, please? Here's what I (think) I remember: 90s or 00s setting, foreign-language with subtitles, set in European local, possibly Scandinavian, overcast skies, commuting to work via train. Plot revolved around a man who lost his job, but did not tell his family, he just kept going into the city every day. Fuzzy on anything else...
Please help me identify this foreign film. [more inside]

You know how Pitchfork is a great way to keep up on new indie music? Is there something similar for indie/foreign flicks? [more inside]
What movie has a scene in which a man fishes for eels using a horse head for bait? It may be foreign.
I'm looking for a movie title. It is subtitled and set in Italy post WWII. The premise is about a young pre-pubescent boy (he narrates the movie) and the trials he faces with living in a small, over-crowded apt. He is becoming more and more of a man throughout the movie. He can't escape relatives crowding the apt to facilitate this change/behavior. The opening scene is an explanation of the bizarre way he was conceived. Something about a tomato cart, his mother falling into it, and her not wearing underwear that day? The young man's name starts with an L. His name is the title of the movie. There is a scene where his mother has asked him to pick up liver from the butcher. Before delivering it to her for dinner preparations, he slices into it with a knife and uses it to mimic a woman's vagina. I hope this is enough information. Thanks.
