I have a rather serious mold allergy. How should I go about finding a mold-free (or almost mold-free) apartment in Chicago?

I suspect there is hidden mold in my new apartment. How do I know for sure, and what do I do to remove it/get the manager to remove it? I'm allergic so letting it be is not an option.

There is a mold or mildew problem under the kitchen sink in my new apartment. My allergies are a curse that cause me to detect smells that normal people can't, and my landlord can't smell it and thinks I might be crazy.

My apartment leaked, mold grew on the walls, and the maintenance guy just bleached off the outer layer ... right?

My fiance has been experiencing rather severe migraines for close to a year now. Since they began she's been to
many different doctors, specialists, chiropractors, etc. all of whom have failed to provide an answer. Its only now that I'm seeing a correlation between her migraines/headaches and our move into the first floor of an old house within the same timeframe. Could this be mold or another allergen? Help me figure this out and (possibly) get out of here before our wedding.

Is
this mold? I just leased an apartment and then found standing water, a leak, and what looks like a lot of mold. I want out. Property manager obviously doesn't want to let me out without lots of money.

I looked at an apartment that seems really great (big, cheap, etc) except for a particular and not quite pleasant bouquet varying in strength and odor from mothballs to 'old house', to just plain stale. Should I be worried? How worried?
