Broadband and mobile in Dublin Ireland?

As a follow up to this, my son is flying to Dublin tomorrow from the US, attending DCU. My new smartphone was stolen. I want a new one, without the price tag.

This past week, when i was away on vacation, my Samsung Galaxy phone was stolen. (I had the service suspended right away). It was a new phone, on a new three year contract with Bell Canada, signed in April. From what i can tell, there aren't any good options that don't cost me hundreds of dollars. [more inside]

Help me find a Not-So-Dumb Phone

I am looking for a simple, non-smart phone with the following features: * Long battery life * Bluetooth (to connect to a Parrot in the car) * Good speaker and microphone for hands-free * Low SARS rating This last point has been the hardest for me to find. For some reason, it seems that new smart phones have much lower SARS rating. I don't really care that it has a keyboard. I should also mention that I am in Europe so it needs to be 2G/3G/4G which I think is different from the States. Appreciate any help! I've been looking on CNET, Google and across the web without much luck...

Cell Signal Boost Out of the Valley

The only un-awesome thing about my new apartment near Tempe, AZ is that neither I nor my roommates are receiving any signal strength on our cell phones due to the low mountains surrounding our location. We all have differerent providers (T-Mobile, Verizon, & AT&T) and not a lot of money. Please help me find a cellular signal booster that doesn't cost an arm and a leg or more than $100. I don't even know how to begin.

Porting a cell phone number to a land line phone?

Can I port my existing AT&T Wireless cell phone number to a new Comcast Digital Voice land line account? The 1-800-Comcast customer support rep. said no, but the FCC says "you can switch telephone service providers, including interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) providers, and keep your existing phone number". No Signal

What is wrong with my new mobile phone? When my phone goes idle after 15 sec of no use (typical battery saving function) or loses the signal when I am in an elevator (typical situation but normally survivable), it won't automatically reconnect so it's like I don't even have a phone. How can I over come this? Is it normal for "newer" phones to constantly be searching for a signal yet not getting it or turning off like this? [more inside]

I just want to read small interesting things

I'm looking for good mobile websites that are mainly text and update often, with individual content brief enough that I can finish reading by the time the bus comes. Despite what it might imply, texts from last night perfectly encapsulates what I want. I just want more of it. And maybe for it to be informative on top of entertaining. Just something internet-y that I can browse for 3-5 minutes at a time.
