I got a stand mixer for X-Mas! No, not the damn KitchenAid with the atom smasher attachment. I'm looking for some good, basic mixer recipes, breads and meatloaves in particular. [more inside]

I am recording drums into a sound card that allows for eight inputs. What I am searching for is a mixboard that will allow me to do a direct line out from each channel. The main constraint being that it needs at least 8 xlr inputs and an output for each so I can keep each part of the kit on seperate tracks. Finally, it would hopefully be under $500 to acquire this 'magical' mixer. So can anyone make some recommendations?

I like to drink, but I don't like alcohol. Or at least the taste of it. I never have, but lately, I haven't been able to drink much at all. I can detect even small amounts and have been known to grimace when drinking even a wimpy drink. But I love to party, and as a big guy, it takes a lot to get me drunk. Any ideas on dealing with this problem? [more inside]

I'd like to get my wife a kitchen mixer. We really can't afford a proper kitchen aide as we'd like, so I wanted to ask the foodies here at Ask.Me. If it matters she'll be using it mainly for making cakes and cookies.

I am looking for a battery powered mixer. Some friends and I want to start doing street shows with a pair of Handytrax and an old skool boom box. But, we're stuck on the mixer problem. Googling "battery powered mixer" turns up the wrong kind of mixers, and we don't want to use a generator.
