I need some help wrapping up a playlist that I'm working on and the closing track is really giving me a headache, so I'd like to know if any of you have recommendations for songs that close out an album perfectly. More details inside! [more inside]
I'll be working outdoors most of the summer (yaya!) so I've been looking to stock up on music mixes. A lot of the work will be remote so I won't be able to stream, thus it needs to be downloadable. A few more details underneath. [more inside]
I know Edmonds Shaker Pancake Mix is a New Zealand product but was wondering if anyone knew a shop I could buy this at in the States. I will be in Seattle and Boston for a little bit so either an online shop that ships to there or a physical shop in those cities would be great. I usually try World Market but they don't seem to have this.
Looking for any new creepy sounding tracks for my annual Halloween mix. New, or new to you; original songs; cover songs; or even soundtrack selections work. (If a recommendation has appeared on a previous AskMeta thread for Halloween mix tunes, less candy for you!)
I can't find how to have Google create a playlist using only my music on my phone. Does it still exist? [more inside]
So far they're not really into popular music, but I'd like to share a little with them and see if I can entertain and/or pique their interest. [more inside]
This is probably a stupid question for you smarties. I'm putting together an epic mp3 mix for all of my friends (tracks will be purchased from Rhapsody) and I don't know how best to deliver the goods to all of the inboxes on my list. First, how can I transfer the purchased tracks to the peeps? And can I do it so it's a package, tracks in order, so that it's easily downloadable to the various devices of my audience? I am thinking and/or hoping that this is an easy thing. I'm trying to avoid burning a stack of cds, and I just know that there is a better way to give the gift of groove to my excellent friends. My SO heard this song on a DJ mix years ago and has been trying to find out the title/artist ever since. We’ve Googled the lyrics and tried to identify it using Shazam, but have had no luck. He’s uploaded a clip of it here. Since this was taken from a mix, it might be played back at a different pitch than it was recorded at. Can anyone identify it?
Looking for more songs like these: * Godsmack - I stand alone * Drowning Pool - Bodies * Rage Against the Machine - Bullets on Parade * Powerman 5000 - When Worlds Collide * 1000 Homo DJs - Supernaut * Ministry - Stigmata Trying to build a nice pregame gym mix and these songs get me going.
So Awesome Mix Vol. 1 turns out to be a perfect album to drown out the sound of rain while I'm reading before bed. What other commercial mixes or soundtracks are similar (not too bouncy and without large changes in volume) and might also serve in this capacity. [more inside]
Looking for anything new or newly discovered that should be included in my annual Halloween mix... creepy covers of seasonal favorites welcome. [more inside]
When I make instant hot chocolate, the directions always say to put the hot chocolate mix into the mug and then pour hot (not boiling) water on top. This does seem to produce better results than stirring the mix into hot water, although that might be confirmation bias. Does this actually work better? Why? [more inside]
I am looking for modern, dark, forward thinking, dance music which preferably somehow reflects on the theme of a quarter life crisis. Overly exacting specifications inside. [more inside]
I'm looking for songs that mix 80s and/or 90s pop with other genres. My favorite example of this is Orbital's Halcyon - And On And On Live that samples Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name and Belinda Carlisle's Heaven Is A Place On Earth. Any other genre is fine but electronic genres are preferred. Thanks!
I've got very little information about a folk song, possibly traditional, in some Germanic language. But I'd really love to hear it again! [more inside]
I have a friend who loves good music (a bit of explanation inside) and has been out of the country with limited media access for the last 6 months. I want to put together a sampler mix of everything she's been missing out on in the second half of 2013, but I don't know much about current music. What resources are out there that can help a musical novice assemble this playlist? [more inside]
A friend of mine is looking for "awesome, sexy, scary, dark, Halloween-type songs that [she] can do burlesque to." She's thinking along the lines of the theme song from True Blood, although she's already done a routine to that song. So please, you masters of mixes, give us your scary-sexiest songs.

I'm looking for recommendations for hot chocolate mixes which don't require you to add them to milk (it's probably best if they already contain the milk, but that's not required as long as it doesn't taste thin and watery when you put it in hot water). I'm not lactose intolerant, but I don't usually have milk around, plus it's much easier & more convenient to heat up water. [more inside]

I have to make a Halloween party dessert on a tight schedule. In my cabinet I have a box of Dr. Oetker organic blondie mix and a can of organic pumpkin. According to the box directions you're supposed to add 1/4 C. melted butter and 2 eggs to the blondie mix. Can I add some of the canned pumpkin? About how much, do you think? How much of the butter or eggs would I leave out to make it still hold together with the fats, but not too gloppy with the added pumpkin?
